If I purchase a faction change, does it include a free race change? Or will I get assigned a race automatically?

In the faction change menu, you’ll pick a new race for your character (based on your character’s class) and then customize his or her appearance. Enjoy your new faction!

Ok, so as long as my class can be performed by that race, it will be available. And does that include Pandas, since they could remain the same race? If I were, say, a Horde Panda Hunter switching to Alliance, I could still choose to be a Gnome for the same price and wouldn’t have to remain a Panda, correct?
You can be any race of the opposite faction, if they have the same class available. Yes.
Horde panda hunter → alliance gnome hunter

Thanks Pixels for indulging me. It’s one of those things that I wanted to take the extra time to ask all the questions before putting real money down. If I would have had to buy both a faction AND race change (for $55 total), I would have just created a new character and boosted it (for $60). Now I can go ahead and spend the $30 for the faction change with confidence.
