Did faction change, customized character and then it got stuck and now i cannot log into the character. It initially said it would take a few minutes but its been over half an hour and it just says unable to log in.

There seem to be some issues going on with the newest patch give it some time.

I purchased it in game through shop, i did the char customization also and after that it usually takes 2-3min before i can log into the game but it keeps saying “Login Failed”.
Give it some time. Personally, I don’t touch services for a few days after a patch or anything because of the chaos and issues that arise.
Under normal circumstances, it can take up to 24 hours to go through. If for some reason after that time frame you’re still unable to access the character, file a ticket under Purchase Failure. Until then though, you just kind of have to hang tight and see if it’ll go through on it’s own. They usually won’t do anything until after that 24 hour period has passed.

The 24hr is the process before youre allowed to actually customize your character, i am already beyond that its just stuck on the final part.
Generally you buy, then wait till it says you can faction change and to customize your new look, then after that its a few mins and youre good to go. I get that theyre having issues hence why i posted it so they can take note of it being an issue.
Please allow some additional time to pass. If you’d like to submit a ticket while you wait, you can do that - but please keep an eye on it and if the Faction Change completes before your ticket is answered then please be sure to close that ticket.
Leilleath, to clarify that post - it’s most likely to affect users in other regions since their maintenances haven’t happened yet but their shop updates have. It should not impact those in the Americas region since maintenance has completed here but we wanted to make sure the information was as broadly available as possible.

Yeah just meh i cannot log on my main. The status is already complete but alas it still says wait a few minutes. It should just say “Coming soon” 
I’ve been waiting for currently 2hrs now for my transfer to go through, so not just you. Usually when I try to log into a transferring toon it says something about the toon being unplayable till transfer is complete but when I do it this time it just says “login failed”
Faction changed my rogue back to nelf and it says error please come back later.
Having the same issue here. Hoping for a fix soon.

Edit. Tried to log in and wouldnt let me. For obvious reasons. Issue now being i have raid tonight. in 6 hours so lets hope it gets fixed
Applied the faction change nearly 6 hours ago on 3 characters.
These have been “processing… This may take several minutes since then.”
I have checked it a few times,
At one point my mage became a shaman and then back to mage again, but still the original faction.
All the changes are from Alliance to Horde.
Used the 3 package deal to purchase the faction change.
Is there anything my side that could be preventing this?
I tried closing everything down and reopening including the BNET launcher.
Tried changing realms.
I even tried bribing my PC with a promise of a good ol’ dusting out. Nothing has worked

There are a lot of faction related issues related to todays patch for cross faction grouping. I’ve seen this called out as one of the issues.
It’s probably going to take a day or so to get cleared up. Several threads in the bug report forum covering faction issues.
Even with the possibility of the buggy issues - on a good day it can still take up to 24 hours for things to process through. It’s just a matter of waiting for it to go. Sometimes it’s minutes, sometimes it’s hours.
If it’s been longer than 24 then you can file a ticket under Purchase Failure.
i’m in the same boat I faction changed a toon and its been stuck processing for hours… 6 days wait time for a ticket responce…
Again, on a normal day that isn’t a patch day laden with bugs and whatnot, it can take up to 24 hours for it to process.
Taking into consideration how chaotic it is right now, tickets may take a day or two, but it will not bee six days. That’s just the general estimation given based on all those that are in queue right this moment.

That’s just how it is. It used to be 72 hours. If you don’t want to wait you can always apply for a refund, but there is no way to make it go any faster.
And just to humor me - when you go here, what is it saying for the purchase?
