Faction change, kul tiran unlock

Hello,

So I’m trying to get the Kul Tiran’s. I faction changed from Horde to Alliance on this character yesterday. My completed loremaster progress came over, I had Zandalar Forever completed, and I already re-did the war campaign. I’m still missing the achievement “a Nation united” and i don’t have any credit toward “The pride of Kul Tiras”. Shouldn’t Zandalar forever have turned into The pride of Kul Tiras and been completed? I can’t find anywhere to pick up that quest either If I did have to do it as well.

I’m just kind of lost. Please and thanks for any help.

Zandalar Forever counts for the purposes of Pathfinder and flying, but doesn’t count for the purposes of unlocking allied races for the Alliance - after all, you were on the Red side of the war.

If you continue with the Alliance intro, you should be able to pick up one of the zone quests with Taelia in the Harbormaster’s Office, and continue in the questlines to earn A Nation United and The Pride of Kul Tiras.

So I’m really going to have to go and do 300~ quests just to do the pride of kul tiras?

If my completed Loremaster progress transfers over shouldn’t I just be able to do that 1 quest chain?

In order to unlock an allied race, you’ve always had to do the quests related to their story line, whether it’s Lightforged Draenei or Kul Tirans. A faction change doesn’t let you skip over their story.

I didn’t do a faction change myself, but I’ve got a 120 on each side that I did the different faction stories on in order to get the allied races of both sides. I believe you also need Tides of Vengeance for the Alliance side in order to gain the allied race.

But If the loremaster achievement transfers over i don’t understand why i would have to go and actually quest through all of the alliance zones. I unlocked the Lightforged, Void Elves, and Dark Iron by just faction changing over to the Alliance and doing their small storylines.

To do the Pride of Kul tiras you need the Loremaster of Kul Tiras.
I transferred over and it gave me Loremaster of Kul Tiras.
why doesn’t the pride of kul tiras questline become available for me to do? Why bother giving me the Loremaster of KT achievement if it’s basically not even working.

I’ll do a small storyline no problem. I’m not trying to do the whole leveling experience over again as a 120.

Wowhead has a complete list of quests required to get A Nation United. Have a look here

Having Loremaster doesn’t necessarily equate to having done all these quests.

If the quests were the same for both factions, they would count. The Horde and Alliance do not share most quests in BfA. They did in Legion. In Legion you just had to redo Stormheim because there were two separate story lines there.

For Horde your story-lines in Zandalar tell the story of the Zandalari Trolls, with the war campaign being the infiltrating of Kul Tiras. The Alliance story-lines tell of what happened to the Kul Tirans during the time between Warcraft III and BfA, with the war campagin being the infiltrating of Zandalar. Unlike reputations which switch with a faction change, the completed quest list does not convert.

So I basically wasted $30. :joy: If I knew i would have to go back and spend a week doing alliance quests i never would have faction changed. They might as well not give a faction changed player the opposite side’s loremaster if it doesn’t really even count either.

Thanks for all the answers.

Sorry to hear that you feel like it was a waste of a faction change. It was never really meant to give people a leg up on getting allied races, as opposed to people who went through the quests on both factions. Hope it goes well, though.

same here, i payed a faction change to save the extra “fun questing hours”, but if i do all quest on kul’tiras and i change back my character to the horde, will i lost the alliance allied races unlocked with that character?

Once an allied race is unlocked, it remains that way no matter what happens to the character that unlocked them.
