Title says it: I’m horde, in an alliance guild. I want to faction transfer to alliance, for some personnal reasons.
Actually, before 10.1, you were losing all your quest progress, and leaving guild when changing faction.
But now that guild are cross-faction, will my character leave the guild if I faction change? And what about my progress in my quest for Aberrus skip (I have 1/3 tome yet)?
Yes, Faction Changes work the same as they did prior to Cross-Faction Guilds.
Quest progress does not carry over during a character service. If you have progress in a quest you’ll want to complete it prior to faction changing, otherwise progress will be lost.
So my character will leave the guild and I will have to join and grind the reputation with it again?
You will need to rejoin the guild. The only time you’d automatically rejoin is if the guild itself is doing a guild transfer or faction change. In that case, any member that follows would automatically be placed in the guild after they complete the same service.
Now for reputation, I am not 100% on that. Generally if you leave a guild you won’t lose reputation immediately. If you rejoin within 30 days your reputation should remain the same.
However, reputation is traditionally lost upon transfer or faction change. Even though Cross-Faction exists now the services still function the same, so it is likely that reputation will be lost.
so i have a guild on alliance and i want to change it to horde along with its gm. so dose that mean all the alliance players will have to get a faction change to stay in the guild or can they stay alliance and still be in the guild with out any hassle to them?
