I purchased a Faction change and used it 7-8 hours ago. I just logged back in and was greeting with a message saying that it couldn’t be applied, my character was removed from favorites and tossed to the bottom of the list, and now the button to change a character’s Faction is missing. So essentially I’ve paid $20 for nothing?
Open a purchase failure ticket and a GM can take a look.

A little time - and a ticket might be best.
I also see a Race Change that failed on the first attempt, and the second is queued.
Not sure if that might be part of this or not.

Just completely closed the game and launcher, the button reappeared and was successful this time. Disregard

Still happening. Made a faction change last night, still stuck on the old one with the button showing next to the alt in question and unable to do it again (fails at the last step).
