Faction Balancing

Is there any plans to balance this at all? No point in calling a server PVP if the population represents a PVE server.

Grobb is there. Move or reroll while a pita, is an option.

They can’t fix this. In a way classic folks would like. My usual example is whitemane. Where can it go?

Atiesh is pve. half of whitemane to grobb forced is grobb horde now stronge. with no guarantee of Alliance pvp resurgence on Whitemane. Grobb peeps may not want the forced say 2000 player migration either. Their feelings should be considered.

Remember ironforge stats is low since the raiders haven’t fired up full speed yet. More than 1859 players are on whitemane. 2-3 weeks from now the 1000’s not logging right now…will be.

And blizzard can’t force ping hits shifted to the east coast.

Here is how retail got the first runs servers back to not being 99%. Warmode. Some people said cool, I got that char I haven’t seen in years back. slowly they crept back to say 75/25%. If its jsut a rough pvp night, turn off warmode.

Can’t be helped, the players wanted to stack their factions to 99% because that is the only pvp they want, when they vastly outnumber the enemy.

Grobb is the only actual pvp realm because the core will reroll to the lower faction if needed. Most of us actually care about balance and the good of the server here.

They could merge servers and fix it pretty easily. The servers are already setup to be megaservers and can handle the players with layering. They just need to take two similarly sized alliance and horde dominated “PvP” servers and merge them. Blizz created the mess in the first place by allowing transfers.

I would agree with this, yes over time this server would become unbalanced and that’s when you merge again.

Over time those that do want the 100% faction dominated servers would simply join a PVE server

Population health of a server is part of their service, which is why they offer free transfers in the first place. I think that should extend to faction population balance as well for PvP servers.

Yep. Rolling back the clock time. Day 1 classic.

Faerlina had the best shot it was getting at balance. It even had all streamer groupies.

Look ma, my char is in on the internet in an asmon stream! Quite a few alliance streamers said let’s go faerlina.

The alliance streamers went on the fotm I quit too faux outrage at the time. I quit…till people forget and my production staff says I need hits.

70/30 became 80/20. Then 90/10. Now 99/1.

Faerlina alliance either quit this game or moved mains elsewhere. They’d not go back. Or they rode out instances.

I probably saw more of alliance faerlina on bg teams than horde on faerlina did open world.

But the majority of people who want to claim they are on a pvp server (without the actual threat of getting pvp’d) would utterly riot. They paid to make servers lopsided, can’t force them back now without severe backlash.

And names would be lost. Those moved to bene from faer…lose names worst case if this went down like that.

If not taken by now, trolls would make level 1 name squaters just to be butthats about it.

I don’t like this dude. He has to come to my server. Let’s…take their name.

Let’s be honest, we know this would happen. MMO’s get some petty and bitter as hell People.

Most paid to follow their faction after Blizz opened up transfers. Their faction would move with them with a merge.

The only thing that they could realistically do is faction lock whichever faction is more than 10% higher so that nobody can faction change or transfer in on that faction. The damage would already be done though to a large degree.

Unfortunately this is history repeating itself thanks to Everyman for Himself or whatever the new sensitive rename of it is.
