clearly Americans and Canadians are different races.
In the case of the blood elves, no it does not. There is NOTHING different between the two other than eye color. Even in gameplay, Blood Elves use Arcane Torrent, Not Fel Torrent or Light Torrent. Denying this is akin to just plain denying the game.
And “changing an adjective is the only thing that changed, despite tons of lore stating otherwise!” is the anti argument. See? I can make strawmen arguments, too. Only I don’t actually have to, because I have actual lore to back mine.
And High Elves don’t use Arcane Torrent at all, because that’s a Blood Elf thing, not a High Elf thing.
Blood elves are high elves, but high elves are not blood elves.
high elves are blood elves, a few high elves are not. more honest and less strawmanny yea?
So then what are High Elves things? What do High Elves have that are different from Blood Elves? I’ll tell you what, NOTHING. Slapping a blue to the Blood Elves red does not make them a new race, it makes them just another faction of a race, and that is the point. They are not a new race, there is nothing indiviual about them. They have no identity that is seperate from the blood Elves. They are nothing.
And yet… Void Elves. Actual former Blood Elves who literally slapped blue skin onto their reddish skin and became a “new race”.
Thing is, you think this is about playability. That’s not even the argument. High Elves exist. They are in game now. They are not Blood Elves. It’s just that simple. You can cry “But they have no unique culture that I want to acknowledge!!” all you like, but it doesn’t change the facts.
not as a playable race
I wonder if I may have covered that with the whole
This is literally a lie.
If blood elf eyes can go from green to yellow, they can easily go to blue.
Also high elves are on the Horde and the alliance has a sub faction of high elves through the silver covenant. Most if not all high elves are within the Horde
ion confirmed recently in an interview they cant. what i got from his recent comments is the future for all high elves is to manifest gold eyes. the ones that have gold now are just the fastest to do so because they are closer to the light. but eventually blue/green will fade from them all. it might not be in the games lifetime but it is what will happen
and before pros say ‘hE dIdNt SaY hIgH ElVeS hE SaId BlOoD ElVeS’
WELL DUH
and blood elves are high elves and all high elves share the same connection to the sunwell so whatever is happening, is happening to them all
Having one eye color option would be so damn boring. They need to come up with the lore that allows for more variety.
So, umm aren’t Kul’Tirans humans because they can’t be paladins?
If you can get gold eyes back you can get blue eyes back just have to feed off arcane power for a while… the eye colour doesn’t matter much it’s more they want alliance high elves who could in theory turn back to the sun wells power and get golden eyes but still associate as being a high elf and alliance.
Nope, sorry. Ion confirmed that blue eyes for Blood Elves do not make sense as they have evolved.
I don’t know, ask Kul Tirans.
Yeah. Cause we all know how Lightforged Draenei are an actual race with a capital, culture, etc. different from regular Draenei.
So, even in the Behind the Scenes video for Blood Elves in TBC, you’re saying the Blood Elves using demonic magic to keep there city together were Kael’s blood elves?
But that’s how belf eye colour changed they became dependent on a power source, it can change again if necessity demands it.
while i agree, i wouldnt have a problem at all with giving the BE to the alliance…they never should have been part of the horde to begin with.
maybe not a popular opinion but sorry not sorry the only reason they were written to be 100% horde affiliated was because back in the day the alliance outnumbered us so much they figured “give them a pretty race” to even out the numbers… i never minded being outnumbered which is why i don’t understand why these alliance only players complain so much when the balance is just a few % off
back in the day on a lot of servers you had i think the stats were 7 active alliance per 1 horde lol it was fun
