Fact of the day: High Elves are Blood Elves

Lightforged Draenei can’t be shamans and they are Draenei…

While I don’t mind High Elves (might make one if they make them playable on Alliance), I agree with Peppermint. Just give them the High Elves already and get over it.

The majority of people who’d be mad are the ones who’d not really be affected and only don’t want them playable to spite Alliance players.

Excuse me, I know I’m late but… what do you think the population of Quel’thalas is? Turnips?

It is not head canon.

The Warcraft Encyclopedia states that high elves are scattered all over the world and don’t act as a coordinated whole. As such, they do not have common opinions or goals

" Modern high elves are a rare sight, and are commonly mistaken for blood elves.[12][13] In consequence, there are very few high elves left on Azeroth today. High elves did not gather in any significant numbers and are a very small group of individuals. Indeed, modern high elves cannot even truly be said to have a culture—only a past filled with glory and regret."

Just a warning, but you’re trying to speak common sense to someone that still thinks the blood elves drank the green kool aid and are impure.

And yet, Nightborne who are NEs are not actually NEs right?

It’s almost as if we’ve seen in the lore examples of elves getting changed after exposure to different magics and turning into something else entirely…

Sure but then that means if there is a difference between the mutated and non mutated version of NEs, there would also be between the HEs and their BE descendants. You can’t have it both ways…

Except that HEs have not been exposed to different magic. Alleria said she felt what was happening to the Sunwell from worlds apart for pete’s sake.

Actually the part that separate them is the fact that not all left. And that is why people are upset. Because the argument given to not add them in the game as no deep value to back them up. That is why people are upset

1- Cant differenciate then. What is Pandaren Horde/Alliance then. Void Elf Full armored/Blood Elf full Armored. All u can see is Purple or Peach skinned Ear. Same goes for Night Elf and Highborne they look similar except for the girl Posture.
2- Saying they dont interact the same way. That isnt true at all. They are there sinse Warcraft game in term of Building Human city of Dalaran. And Helping agains in 2-3-4 expensions. Meanwhile some Allied race helped in 1 patch of 1 expension and are added.
3-There isnt enough to make a real population. What are the Void Elf then. U telling people that enough Blood Elf tapped into Void to make it more Valid than Few cities of High Elf. Even the Lightforged there is no way a small Army Inside 1 ship isnt an enough amount to make it a huge civilization yet they are.

Would I make a High Elf if they were valid probably not. Should they be given to people tough Yes they should. There is no real argument to say they cant be implemented

Oh hey, we’re compairing a race that was designed to be neutral to one race that has been established for almost 15 years on a single side going essentially neutral… again

Please… end me.

what are you fanfictioning over here? high elves were never even in actual alliance territory to begin with. they were always isolationists who limited contact with humans to the kingdom of dalaran after the second war(a city they co founded). high elves simply withdrew from the alliance, meaning obligations to provide aid and such. only a few individuals remained in actual territory and worked with them like a couple priests and maybe a mage. we saw them with arthas and jaina. and maybe the allerian stronghold elves up until TBC. we know exactly who they are. there is no citation for a population just a few indiviudals

This yeah but all the other ones That I just cited funny u dont talk about them tough. U just keep the only part that has that little flaw in it

again what ones?

Your title is wrong though. No High Elf is called or is a Blood Elf.

Blood Elves are a faction of High Elf. High Elves are not Blood Elves though, because not all High Elves choose to be Blood Elves.

Blood Elf is a choice.

High Elf is your race.

We’ve seen fel mutated elves in TBC.

Blood elves are not fel mutated lol.

Well said!

That does not mean that High Elves are “dead as a race”. The person who I was talking to is trying to argue that High Elves don’t even exist anymore as a race.

Nice strawman argument. I never said anything about Blood Elves being “impure”. Your irrational arguments are one reason I generally ignore what you say and never even bother to respond. However, this needed a response: Blood Elves did indeed get exposed to Fel magic in ways High Elves did not. That is why they have green eyes. The fact that you think that High Elves and Blood Elves were exposed to magic in the exact same ways says volumes.

And this, kids, is what happens when you don’t know the difference between the population of a kingdom and the population of a race.
