Can these finally be fixed? It appears that Finesse, Perception, and mining talents don’t affect them. Nothing like avoiding death to get 1 R1 ore, meanwhile I get 3-7 R2+ ores from every other node.

I agree, but thats a different thing from the bug.
I have noticed that your character’s proximity to the center of the node appears to affect the speed to mine it. If you are able, try to stand as close as possible to mine it quickly.

Don’t mine them. Overload them. That’s their major purpose.
If your overload ability is on cooldown, do what Aud said and stand on top of it to shrink the cooldown. Or bypass it completely and let someone else overload it or mine it.

I propose EZer mines. they just explode as we pass them by, and the resources go straight to our bank.

Pretty sure they’re there to balk bots.
An easy way to deal with them is to land on top of them to mine them, or stand on a high rock that’s near them (if one is available). Sometimes you just have to stand as far away as possible to mine them.

I don’t really understand their purpose, are they there just to annoy us? or is it an anti-botting thing that also punishes the rest of us?
Noticed this a while ago and just stopped mining from them as they weren’t worth the time.
They do though.
Do you have any points in Elemental Nodes or EZ-Mine nodes? cause that’s what affects them.
For some “brilliant” reason, Blizzard decided this expansion that all nodes will be treated separately when it comes to knowledge.
So if you Max the “Bismuth” node for instance, ONLY Bismuth Nodes are affected. Rich Bismuth is not. Bismuth Seams are not. Elemental Bismuth Nodes are not.
It’s a stupid design choice, not a bug.
Also, deftness is not meant to affect them at all - your speed for those nodes in particular goes up if you get closer, to get more “risk = reward” out of it.
Yes maxed, with Max tool and accessories, enchants and pot.
Mined hundreds of them, and no they are not being affected.
And AGAIN, this isn’t about the mining speed.
Well, they are definitely affected for me. Regularly get 3 star out of them.
You seem to be the only one then, I have 4 miners and as others have said they see the same thing.
The issue with EZ nodes is that the juice simply isn’t worth the squeeze; even if I mine it safely and then overload it I’m getting… like 3 mini nodes of suspect quality?
Like I haven’t tried mining them with someone who’s fully tricked out for doing so, but quite frankly the juice ain’t worth the squeeze.
If they really do significantly mess with bots, then their value is immense right there. That makes every bit of ore you mine, from any node, worth more.

They’re pointless. Extra danger for what exactly? They aren’t any better than any other node.

thats never worked for me, ive pressed my face against it and mined slower at times
