I completed the quest to remove the Eye of the Jailer mechanic from the maw, but when i did it i was at Rank 5 with the Eye. After completion all of the Rank 5 debuffs were removed EXCEPT for the “Eye of the Jailer: Stygia and Ve’nari Reputation gains reduced by 100%”. Assuming this should have been removed as well with the quest. I’m sure It’ll be gone after reset, but very annoying i cant get credit for some of the things in the Maw now while I’m progressing through the 9.1 content.
Have you tried logging out of the game completely and logging back in?

We have a Support Article that should apply to this.
If the “Eye of the Jailer” debuff is not removed after daily reset please logout and login again or alternatively leave the Maw and return.
Same applies in case you still have the debuff after completing the quest Focusing the Eye to remove the “Eye of the Jailer” permanently.

I’ve logged out and in (both while in and out of the Maw zone), completely quit the game, and zoned in and out of the Maw multiple times now. The debuff persists.
Try taking off all your gear, fly up high the dismount to kill your town. See if that works.
Was this after daily resets, Zungu? Meaning, did you have the debuff, then complete the Focusing the Eye quest before resets and the debuff persists? Or did you earn the ire of the Jailer today, prior to finishing the Focusing the Eye quest?
That’s how it works as far as I understand it.

This all happened today after reset. All the other Rank 5 rebuffs dropped except for the “Eye of the Jailer” after i completed the quest to remove the Eye from the Maw. If this is intended its a very strange choice considering all the other mechanics and debuffs are no longer an issue.
I’m seeing what else I can find out, Zungu.
Logged in today after the daily reset and the debuff is gone, which is good. Still think folks should know if they do the quest chain in the Maw where they remove the Eye of the Jailer while at Rank 5, they may have the debuffs associated with Rank 5 stick around even though the Eye is neutralized, affecting their stygia/rep gains and credit on some quests.
