Extremely high latency

Everything is working fine except for World of Warcraft. Having extremely high latency and game is just unplayable. Anyone else having this issue?

Same here. I’ve flushed DNS and everything, but US servers just aren’t working. I’m looking at anywhere between 4.000 - 10.000 ms.

Same here since the maintenance, maybe it will help if I add I live in Europe and not in US but to US west servers ping times on 1000/1000 fiber connection are generally ~145ms.

Instead I’m seeing home ping times of nearly 2k and 8.6k of the world itself on Hyjal-US.

Literally every other game and service is working perfectly fine, except WoW now, this is not on the players end and it only seems to affect a small subset of players, or maybe just those playing from outside US.

I’m glad its not just me. I high latency and constant disconnects. It was fine until yesterday after maintenance.

I’m on the east coast playing on a west coast server.

Having the same issues playing from the UK. Ping is roughly 100-150 when playing which is normal due to my location. Got off for todays maintenance and when I came back on, world ping is now 6,000-8,000. Absolutely unplayable

You’re not alone, friends in the UK have the same problem.

Still just unplayable. Not sure what to do. I can’t even get into my character screen now.

i could log into some characters and not others, and the ones i did manage to get into, if i switched to someone else it would still show the previous ones logged in on the guild roster. its gone up to 6 of them so far

20,000 World MS. I’ve checked other games. I’ve called my ISP. It’s on Blizzards end. This is honestly extremely annoying. I played all day yesterday with no issues. But I guess Blizzard broke something today?

I’m glad to see this is a topic of discussion. I wasn’t expecting the additional US maint, and when servers came back up I’m experiencing the worse pings I’ve seen in a long time. World is sitting between 7k-9k. I hope Blizz addresses this soon. The game isn’t playable.

Having the same issue. Home latency is fine, world latency is between 7000-9000. I was playing fine on my Druid but when I switched to my Shaman nothing just worked.

I resolved my issue now by connecting to a VPN service, not sure if it works yet without but I know for somebody else it resolved the problems on their normal network in the UK.

Back to 138-145ms pings from EU, rebooting PC did not aid the issue.

Adding to say I have this issue as well - 5k-20k latency. Game is quite literally unplayable at the moment lol.

Can confirm, I tried a VPN now and it works.

If a VPN fixes the issue, then the problem is with the route your ISP assigned to reach the servers. Normally this clears up in a few days or weeks, but alerting the ISP is always recommended so they know customers are affected.

VPN also worked.

Can confirm issue is with Blizzard. Tried VPN, same issue. Lag immediately.

same issue here

After the last maintenance I’ll go from 8 ms ping world. Enter an M+ then start spiking to 1 - 2k. This is a recent issue only with WoW. I’ll simultaneously run a speed test and register around 500 mbs. Anyone else run across this issue in m+. Is M+ located on a different server than world content?
