Hopefully someone has done better research than I, but extending raid lockouts was a feature dropped at patch 3.2 in live, the release of ICC.
Is it coming to classic? Cause we’re now at the same point of the game in three weeks.
My raid only raids one night, for about 4 hours, and we’d much prefer to extend a lockout over finding another day we’d all be able to raid.
I mean we’re 50/50 and all well geared, but we’re also all retail players primarily playing this once a week for fun. Like wrath is 100% raid-log content for all of us.
We don’t want to be raiding 2 nights a week in both versions of the game.
I raid 2 nights at week (currently one) but still think extending lockout would be great. Im assume OP is not talking about extending lock out week 1, but reclearing always would take time. ICC remember me a lot to sepulcher in retail, that was a hard raid in heroic, we raid 2 night at week in retail and after killing rygelon 2 times we use 2 full raid night in the jailer to kill him. SO extending lock out would be great.
Raid Lockouts were introduced in WotLk Retail.
There does not seem to be any Raid Lockout options on the PTR, so the current assumption is we are not going to get this feature in WotLK classic.
Even if you can’t quite fit all the bosses in one night, you’re still probably better off just reclearing the first 9 or 10 bosses each week rather than miss a whole reset so that you can get an extra night to kill 2 bosses.
