I did not notice the whole thing and as wondering if it could be extended for SoD till MoP releases? Since I don’t want to waste tens of hours on something that could be bypassed for free.

You had a month, Blizzard even gave people like a 2 week notice before hand. If you missed out on well that sucks swipe the plastic and give blizzard $$ for the boost.
