Pre-patch is already short enough, and these expected delays are just cutting into this unique time even further, as we are down to 13 days now (which will likely be 12 days as servers will be down on launch day).
people already took time off that would make it worse.
Im sure people did the same for today, and yet here we are.
Rule of thumb, never take off on launch day.
I vote we have more time for prepatch. I wanted my shaman to be 60 by gate and I can only no-life so hard anymore.
One day versus a whole week is hardly comparable. Iâd be on fire with rage if they delayed the BC launch a week because of one day of prepatch loss.
Think of all the people who took TODAY off and try justifying prioritizing them over the all the people who took LAUNCH WEEK off? Thatâs a lost battle.
a lesson i learned in the years with blizzard is that its always best to take time off a few days after a big patch or launch to avoid staring at a screen for a long period of time
I already scheduled 7-11th off to avoid the mob competition at the gates. To maximize efficiency while still being slightly ahead of the curve.
If pre-patch wasnât a unique time, I would argee with your point, but this isnât going to be happening again for a LONG TIME and it should be a fun time to screw around before TBC, not just kicked to the curb.
People leveling Belfs/Draenie already got screwed over in having them ready for BC, and this just further cements that not happening.
It should have been longer than two weeks from the start, these delays just make it worse. Plus, its not like you canât cancel PTO.
Why is it that people âexpectâ to have time to level their new races to 60 before TBC launch?
I donât get the entitlementâŚ
If they want to give us 1 week head start to TBC, or 3 week or 20 weeks, its up to them. Be happy to have 2 weeks as is, when TBC came out we didnât have 2 weeks buffer to level new races so we can be âready on launchâ and hit the first raid.
Also, remember, itâs just a game.
Nah, Iâm buying a boost and I donât want to wait even longer to get into outlands.
And I wanted BIS gear as soon as I walk through the portal, but it ainât happening.
(Not really, but you get the pointâŚ)
âpre-patchâ aka open beta
Thatâs not what prepatch is for.
I do agree that prepatch shouldâve been longer than 2 weeks, but demanding they delay the expansion thatâs only 2 weeks away just to extend it is absurd. Itâs too late to delay it.
June 1st is the BC launch date
