I heard from a Guildy in a discord that Explosive shot is doing no damage. I did not believe it. Went to a dummy and shot explosive shot multiple times at the level 85 dummy and looked at Skada and Details for both my damage abilities/autoshots and the only thing that is registering is autoshots no yellow text for special attacks Explosive Shot. anyone else experiencing this problem?
Haven’t grouped up with a hunter yet. I’ll report back once I do.
it looks to just be a visual bug not showing the damage numbers, i went over to hyjal and killed some of those rock elementals on my 80 hunter alt and it was still taking damage from Explosive Shot, it just never got the debuff or had any damage numbers.
Both true and false. It does its damage, but you don’t see it applied to the mob, and details doesn’t log it. So it’s like the game knows it’s there, but no logs happen for it
I am not even seeing the dot be applied to the dummy though.
Yea, the DoT gets applied, but not visually at all nor with logs. If you go to a real mob, you’ll see it take the damage though. So it’s doing what it normally does, just with no indication that it is other than hp bars moving

Yes. A guildie who has a hunter is saying it’s working fine for them though, so maybe situational. I tried turning off all addons, swapping specs back and forth to “reset” it, reloading, etc, with no luck. /shrug
To fix the explosive shot problem delete the cache folder with in your cata classic folder. the whole cache folder. relaunch game and it should be fixed.

I disabled all addons except Details and Skada same result but my last post should clear it up for how to fix it.

Just ran my own BH25, Hunter was top dps, both explosive shot and the dot is showing on details.
I suspect there was an issue with a recent update that got fixed shortly after, but if you got the bad update it is still causing this issue, which can be fixed by forcing the folder to update by deleting it.
Yeah maybe. At least it is fixed now.
