I still remember how cruel the forums were towards Wrath in it’s last months. And yes, it was just as bad as now.
Like someone said, the information is readily available as to why people dislike BfA.
It says something that I prefer spending time in old zones and raids rather than in the BfA zones. I spend a few hours on Tuesday killing the N and H Uldir bosses I need for gear, then less than an hour a day on Emissary quests. After that?
Expeditions are boring and my HoA is almost at 31, I don’t need azerite. I dislike every single dungeon, this expansion. Not a single one I’d do for fun, which is proved by the fact that I haven’t set foot in a dungeon in a long time. I’d do M+ if I liked the dungeon, but I’d rather raid. WQs are mind-numbing and always the same, can’t stand it anymore.
So five hours a week on current content. Then I spend the rest farming old stuff or progressing through the Legion and MoP storylines I missed while away.
And that’s the bigger issue. I have more fun doing the story from the last expansion than the current one. This expansion is very repetitive and boring, and you run out of stuff to do very, very fast. I don’t really like alts, or rather I hate leveling them, so not really an option for me until the Zandalari are available.
There. That’s the best I can do without sounding like I’m whining.

I don’t hate BfA. I hate 7.3.5.
Why? Because it has royally screwed over my playstyle.

Worst class design. Worst end game content. GCD changes. WF/TF lazy, pathetic system still in game to keep the sheep chasing that carrot. Island Expeditions (LOL). Warfronts were a flop. Revered Rep gear being ilvl 335, so by the time you had the rep, you had better gear - should’ve been 355. Devs still not fixing broken classes. Complete silence and no communication with community. End game content being a joke.
Those are the things off the top of my head that are going to let my sub expire. Blizzard really f***ed up on this one.
But what can you expect from a company that’s selling its soul to devil (international markets) and chasing the dollar instead of listening to its community that made it so successful.
Really really sad to see Blizzard end up this way. I’ll be gone until 8.2 or next expansion if they fix their broken terrible game.

While the expansion undeniably has a few design issues, I genuinely like it and I have faith that it will improve past the rough launch. The dungeons and raids are fun, and there is too much world content to keep track of.
I can’t say i hate it, but it is definitely not nearly as enjoyable as past expansions.
Azerite armor trait juggling is annoying.
global CDs and ability pruning will never feel right.
the professions are a pain to level with little payoff.
we are given very vague information by the blizzard team on all fronts.
multiple classes feel incomplete.
the scaling is terrible while leveling past 115.
it is difficult to stack desired secondary stats.
too much gating in quest content.

I remember a time when there was no real alternative to WoW besides EQ, the game most of us had just left when WoW came out. And for a while after.
Good thing there’s a handful of good games out there now made by companies who care about their players.
I hate looking at the damn Troll artwork plastered all over the place. Seriously is no one else sick and damn tired of seeing square circles drawn all over the expansion?
Trolls city is horrible, never been a fan of anything troll related
Zones are gorgeous but I hate troll themes. blizzard over used the square circle WAY too much

- No benefits to leveling. Nothing new to look forward to like new talents.
- PvP gearing is terrible and doesn’t allow me to work towards the gear I want.
- PvP cosmetic rewards are terrible.

I envy the Alliance anytime I fly over Boralus. I HATE Zul’dazar, hate it with fiery passion every time I have to FLY and pay to go from my bank to the damn boat. Never cared for Trolls either. I know they wanted to do Wakanda and all, but they failed.

Its just lacking …
talents. though if u have warmode u get some of the talents that were taken away back, which is very unfair.
gear. there is not a variety of types anymoe. Fun things like resist is gone completely. even if you play bgs you have to win conquest to get anything. world conquest quest are gone now.
quest zones. are minimal areas. Lvling toons is boring doing the same thing over and over.
rewards. inspiring players to do anything does not exist.
friends. last 2 from a group of around 70 have finally quit.
Overall i feel BFA is an expac that punishes players for playing…

There’s an old tactic used by parties that don’t want to actually debate with people that differ in viewpoint from them where they publicly engage them and then cherry pick their argument apart for points with the audience instead.
I cannot resist the speculation that is your real goal. I tell you my problems with it and you disqualify my position on some small ancillary point of the argument, making the viewpoint of disliking BFA seem unqualified in the eyes of the crowd.
As others have said, there are plenty of threads explaining the answer to your question. You might even say we’ve provided hundreds of pages of feedback on the subject.
I hate the story. I chose not to get BfA because I simply wanted nothing to do with a faction conflict. I don’t think it fit with how Legion ended and it essentially erased what our characters did.
To be fair my Armory hasn’t updated in a month besides my gear, so he could have done more content and it doesn’t show. I did 5/8H this weekend and it still shows me as 7/8N and no heroic progress.
But yeah. Without touching harder content, I don’t know how people can stay busy in this expansion. N Uldir almost feels like LFR now with 10 stacks of RA for most people, even heroic is quite easy even on your first time.
My only real issues with BfA are class design and azerite armor.
Classes felt really empty to me after they lost all the artifact passives and bonuses from Legendaries in Legion that we gained over time. Azerite armor is something I can tell that they put time into developing because of all the passives but it feels like the absolute worst class progression system ever in the game to me.
The content is fine.
The atmosphere/theme is okay, somewhat drab.
The artwork looks great.
I don’t care about waiting for flying.
Allied race grinds are somewhat annoying but meh.
I just wish they put more love and care into the classes. They are our vehicles in the game, and the most important thing to me.
Edit: oh, I miss class armor sets too. Why… just why.
