Experience Eliminator Exploit / Bug Abuse

We finally got an official blue response on the queue bug exploit. Unfortunately not on this thread, but a reddit thread.
Either way I’m glad to find out they are taking action.
Quote “07 Dev is aware and looking into this”

I believe we can end the thread, now that we have our answer. Since its clearly steered way off topic.

Could you share that post? Or at least point me in the direction… ie, was in it /r/wow?

im not a allowed to post links sadly best I can do is tell you that its on reddit/wow

I’ve also encountered this issue in AB my team having 16 players, I wasn’t even on the scoreboard because I was last to join and the enemy team having 14.

just because you’re able to do something, doesn’t mean it’s permitted.

That makes no sense…

It makes complete sense.

Would be primo to see a blue response on this.

What they’re saying is that level 20 Veteran accounts and 110 transfers are the same as people exploiting the experience eliminator bug to enter XP On BGs with their XP turned off.

Both aforementioned subjects have clearly outlined purposes and are working as intended.

Exploiting a bug in game in order to obtain an advantage (especially when said method uses 3rd party software to exploit) is clearly against ToS and absolutely not the same thing… I feel like anyone pointing out similarities between the two as justification is just trolling at this point; Or attempting to detract attention from shady activity.

it was never intended to be able to transfer characters to a lower expansion level account.

all of the documentation states this, so how can you pretend it’s working as intended?

it is clearly not working as intended, and blizz are aware of the issue.

Blizz separating then re-merging the queues exactly as they were after community backlash, would say otherwise.

i was responding to Voodoommons reference to the issue with the 110 twinks… not the xp elimination issue.

in regards the the elimination issue, it is an exploit.
it originally worked how it’s working now, until it was established there was a problem.
it was then changed so you’d be removed from the queue if attempting to access the eliminator. (which is how it should work)
something broke the way it was meant to work, which makes it a bug.
abusing a bug, is considered exploitation.

i’m not sure why you even want to argue about it.

Yeah, I meant to go back and edit my post. The guys at 20 are whatever, the guys at 110 are annoying but if Blizzard lets them transfer they’re not breaking any rules.

The guys exploiting with the toggle macro are turds.

Remove macros. End of issue.

Do you have a screenshot of that? i’m HELLA CURIOUS to see a 10+ one team WSG.

Yeah I was referring to 110. Or are they separated again? I can’t keep up.

How bout an EotS.

Idk why you guys are making a big deal about it. Youre talking about taking out a part of the game that holds a pretty big part of subs still. They screwed the game when they gave xp as a reward for bgs to make it a viable leveling option. Bgs ard a minigame not a leveling tool and shouldnt be. With that said this bug wouldnt be an issue if people like yall didnt complain in the first place. And plus max level is trash and unbalanced. Blizzard should worry about fixing more pressing issues than worrying about how a person whos put countless hours into making a twink because they enjoy it. Stop being ridiculous people.

Nani the fudge? that is … i guess … it’s bad but it can make thing more lively … but in the end, that hould not occur.

Because it’s cheating to obtain an unfair advantage…

I agree wholeheartedly.

Again, agreed.

Like fixing bugs that are being exploited to obtain an unfair advantage?

This mentality is precisely the problem. Pre-segregation, lots of twinks used to use this as justification for toxic, unsportsmanlike game play. Separating XP ON/OFF was the logical conclusion to premade groups destroying the opposing team then sitting in their GY for the remainder of the game…
Now, it’s that same mentality players are using as justification to cheat the system and do exactly the same thing they always did.

Obviously not everyone did this but the twink community is clearly incapable of policing itself and this is the result. Any excuse after the fact for cheating is just not good enough. Cheating is cheating!

October 8th, this is still occurring.

A destruction warlock with the EXP Eliminated buff que’d up with another EXP Reduced healer and destroyed an EXP ON battleground. I have a clear screenshot but I’m not sure how to link it. Chaos Bolt was hitting for 20k while players only have ~10k health pools.

Either bring twinks back completely or please figure out some way to prevent this from happening.

It’s clear this is seen as a very minor issue, but I hope someone addresses this. I’ve tried looking for a blue post about this and can’t find one. It’s been 6 months.
