Expanding the Classic forums when?

When will be see more sub sections, within the classic forums?
One for recruitment and one for more light-hearted classic community chat, would be really nice.
One where you can make a joke about classic or the classic forums, without being banned for being off topic.
A big Pro about the old game was its community, pls make room for it on the forums, while we wait for it,s release (date).

I’d say if they do it at all it will be much closer to release. Might just use this one and sticky different topics.

I wish that would be possible, a few days ago i made a joke on the eu forums.
A silly harmless one, focused on the Classic forums, often asked question when will we get the release date.
Got a 4 day ban for it, reason given was being off topic.

Most likely, when the first non-NDA alpha/beta begins.

They have to release the Realm lists before they can add the Classic Realm forums. That’s when the fun really starts.

For things like Classic theorycrafting, there’s a lot of class specific Discords already going hard on that.

That is never going to happen ever again. We have an extremely sensitive culture now that reports everyone for everything as offensive. The “community” of 15 years ago will never be a thing now.

That does not mean we can’t form a community, but it will never be on these forums. I can’t find many threads that do not digress into petty semantics arguments.

The actual forum community will likely be on discord or something similar.

This was the answer given in Customer Support, and it is unlikely we’ll hear anything more until there are details (realm names, for example) and possibly not even until after release when they have a better idea of numbers.

I think you might be right, it’s sad but true.

It kinda makes me worry a little, about ingame reporting.
If the same people that report on these forums, will keep it up ingame.
A silly joke, a active recruitment spam can get you muted.
Hopefully i’m wrong to worry.

Then the post was ooh … you where expecting another thread on, when will we get classic release date? Linking a vid off a tune called, Is today the day.

Ohh boy, now i will get a few days ban worth over here as well?

To be honest, the people repeatedly spamming the release date begging, and the posts about wanting blue posts, should get month long vacations. Mocking those people probably should not have snagged you a ban.

Probably on classic release day (when classic goes retail) we will get the full classic forums.

I assume when the full classic forums is created, it’ll require a WoW subscription to post. The current classic forum is probably just a special case till then. Creating a full suite of forums and just to unlock them from needing a sub now and then locking them on release day is probably more problematic than they prefer so easier to just do it one time.
