EXP boost in place of hierlooms

I get that heirlooms are a part of original WOTLK, and some people may love them, but they are wildly overpowered in comparison to newer players who started the game, and do not already have such bonuses. in my opinion, the exp boost, whether it needs to be stronger, or not is a good approach to leveling alts on this game, without crushing anyone who hasn’t had the opportunity to get these pieces of gear.

When you level and alt, you should still be on the same playing field as other players, not able to one shot anyone you see, and make pvp one sided. in other aspects of the game like pve I don’t have as much of an argument, but pvp will be wildly unbalanced by heirlooms until 60 as far as I know.

anyone feel the same or different?

Everyone’s alts have BT/Sunwell gear. Heirlooms would be a downgrade for most players.

There is no “equalizer” to this game to prevent you from getting one shot by people who put the time in. That’s how MMO’s are supposed to work.

Show me a level 20 with BT/Sunwell gear.

I never done a raid and my two first 70s are wearing dungeon loot.

I like heirlooms; they are fun.

I want to have them in Wrath.

The joyous journeys buff is nice too. Actually made leveling feel like it was moving at the correct pace. I hope they bring it back.

no thanks. I’m looking forward to stomping mobs with OP heirlooms. I’d rather the XP buff come from something that adds gameplay than from a static buff operating under the hood.

PVP being one sided is the norm. Only a fraction of the enemy players I encounter in the world are the exact same level as me. It’s not fair. It’s world PVP.

Soooo pretty much, “New players can’t have it, so nobody should!”

You can tell them to get to level 80 (they don’t HAVE to do PvP), do heroics, get badges, profit.

It just takes time, it’s not hard.

They aren’t going to make a major change to heirlooms in the middle of an xpac.

So why should new players get a free ticket when all of us had to grind?

well the boost would be for players who already have made it to max, maybe even players who bought the buff in the same way you do an heirloom.
