i heard the buffs didnt actually go through yet
pretty sure they did. can notice a little more bladestorm pressure, and execute is consistently 2-3m on a defenseless target with full rage.
maybe on someone wearing no pvp gear i can see that but so far my execute are hitting for 1 milly and my MS is hitting for about 800k

Have a look cause people dont believe me even though you can replicate this by just casting slam.
You can also get the talent that slams when you whirlwind multiple targets. 160k ww and then slam for like 900k on locks with their pets nearby.
I already got the rewards I want this season so I don’t have much to do. And im not playing PvP properly until they fix this anyway. Make some more slam vids y/n?
I qd some boomy/war today and execute was regularly hitting btwn 2 and 3 mil with the biggest crit I saw at 3.7mil 31%-0ing a holy priest, just warbreaker no avatar.
idk man played some slayer and it felt pretty chunky, especially when it was actual full rage executes and not sudden death.
execute does feel pretty decent now. Other than for whatever weird reason since TWW the damage number/floating text doesn’t show up til like .5s later which is weird (seems to be only execute) bothers me, don’t know when i got the kill sometimes.
I know people have been crying about mortal strike hitting for 5m (still never seen it) but if u aren’t playing demolish, you rarely see one over 2m as slayer, overpower actually hits harder than MS with 2 pc + opportunist slayer hero talent choice node… which feels bad. I think slayer (only, not colossus) needs a slight MS buff, maybe baked into the “show no mercy” hero talent node.
The BS/execute changes are nice and noticeable, but it still doesn’t matter if you are kited to oblivion and don’t have uptime.
It is very odd that pressing slam over and over for 20 rage does equal damage to mortal strike and overpower, though. Feel like something needs to change to make the Arms rotation more rewarding (un nerfing martial prowess / EP / Fatality)
Having MS, overpower, and slam do all equal damage - outside of the first sharpen blade hit after CS, is pretty dumb.
Also, Arms PvP talents, are azz now. They keep getting nerfed and are more and more worthless each season. The sharpen blade change feels reallyyy bad too.
It’s always fun when someone dies from ~20% and you get this moment of anticipation before you see how much you crit them for.

OP, you’re onto something. I’d like to give a different example from Balance Druid: Most of our damage comes from Starsurge, which makes sense. But it FEELS like a “wet noodle” yet, because it’s spammable. I miss when it felt worth spending, even in Legion and BfA. I think resources have been WAY too overabundant for years at this point and would love to see toolkits managed better and feeling more cohesive and complementary.

My warrior last night played slayer every game and his ms were 1.5-2mil regularly with a 3mil crit here and there and executes btwn 2 and 3 mil.
Saw thiccbiscuit was playing colossus 2x into us as well, and his ms were actually lower on average than slayer, but I’m assuming thats more an uptime thing and not hitting enough during csmash/avatar windows.
Honestly I sympathize with warrior when they complain about mortal strike having so many modifiers and such a wide range of damage because starsurge has even more modifiers between eclipse, incarn, trees, rattle, 1-2-3 dots, waning twilight, boat, and faerie dragons.
I had a minimum starsurge yesterday of 296k and a maximum of 1.91 million. in that same go where I hit the 1.91 million there was a 1million and 1.6million crit.
The variance is bananas.

This bothers me, too. It was an even bigger problem in SL when you had whatever the talent was called that made you charge on execute because then it was even more delayed. You’d think you were pre-turtling but warrior’s execute still goes off a solid global after you pressed turtle because technically the warrior pressed the button first.

Seems every button arms has can hit for 2-4mil right now. At this point Friday we’re going to get patch notes saying they’re adding a 2m damage hit to pummel
Not even trolling arms needs this damage or it’s gonna suck again.
Such is the case for several specs. It’s just gonna be rogues and shadow priests all season if stuff like warrior, hunter, windwalker aren’t threatening.
