Execute Lor'themar

This man is a walking failure. Not only is he responsible for the void elves joining the alliance, he also can’t repair the other half of Silvermoon for over 14 years. He needs to die. And be replaced with a resurrected Kael’thas. That way the blood elves can rise to glory again and bring all of Quel’thalas growth and properity. Lor’themars head should be put on a pike outside the walls of the city where it is served as a reminder what happens to you when you fail your people.

M … Can’t you find a better ruler than Kael’Thas? Lor’Themar does nothing, Kael’Thas surrendered to the Legion, Anesterian lost the duel to Arthas. Who was the ruler before Anesterian?
Maybe do as the trolls do and raise the first of the Sunstriders, Dath’Remar? Or is banishment from Kalimdor (and deprivation of a new Well) considered a management error?

Kael’thas is the rightful heir of Silvermoon. Lor’themar is just a regent. Meaning he is a seatwarmer. I want Lor’themar to die so that the Sin’dorei can be like they were back in WC3 again.

A people who despise all trolls and want the execution of the orcs? Or refugees without a kingdom? Debtors of the night elves?

Lor’themar is also a filthy traitor who sided with the alliance against the rightful leader of the Horde. That is reason enough for me to get him killed. He is a trash character that needs to die without further debate. Death to any Horde leader who accepted the help of the alliance. Baine and Thrall included.

OK. Let’s break Kael’Thas into anima since he accepted Tyrande’s help? Kill Sylvanas as accepting (with malice) Garithos’ help (deal?)?

@Ethriel , was his eyes a bright fel green, or was this unofficial art?
Ups…

I hate him just as I hat Baine and Thrall. He is a traitor to his kingdom. We need a rebellion which throws him out of leadership. He should go back to Stormwind and lick Jaina’S boots as he should be since Nazjatar.

Mods, if you are reading this, could you consider this a repeat thread as Erevien’s “kill all horde leaders thread”

These threads are getting rediculous and to the point of trolling.

Thank you for your consideration.

You do realize Silvermoon IS rebuilt canonically don’t you? The in-game model just doesn’t reflect it cause… laziness honestly… it’s why Gnomeregan is still radioactive and Gilneas is still blighted and abandoned even though canonically it too is habited now.

It was rebuilt shortly after the Sunwell was restored by Velen.

I wasn’t much of a Lorthemar fan. I also didn’t have much against him. He has been a capable Regent, as far as leading the Blood Elves against various existential threats from the cosmos, as well as threats within the Horde.

I started liking him a tiny bit in early BfA, as he defends Undercity, and reviles the Void Elves. Along with the heritage armor quest line.

But I soured on him. The way he cozies up to Jaina and Genn is despicable. The way Blizzard uses him as a mallet to force things fans may not agree with is jarring. He just makes pronouncements, and we go with it, because that is the quest path.

He says Baine is the best of the Horde, or some such. Feh! I didn’t play the Horde because of that spoiled calfling.

This is another thing that really grinds my gears about Ol’ Lorty.

When I first heard him say :

“There will never again be a king in Silvermoon.”

I wanted to turn to him and say :

“Hey buddy, you are just the Regent. That isn’t your call to make. You just keep the seat warm for a true king. Don’t get so comfortable. If a true king comes, step aside!”

I think it would be cool if Kaelthas returns to Silvermoon, and everyone is happy except Lorthemar and his most loyal servants.

He stands in Kaelthas’s way, and denies him entrance.

Then, Kaelthas Flamestrikes Lorthemar and his lieutenants, and burns them to ash at the gates of Silvermoon.

Then we can have a whole coronation and everything.

I blow him a kiss every time I’m in Silvermoon, but his character has taken a turn for the worst for me ever since he started bashing Nathanos.

But I don’t want him dead.

His Alliance sympathies over loyalty to the Forsaken irks me greatly, does he not remember who saved us from the brink of extinction?

I would love that. Kael’thas was wasted potential and I am glad Blizzard is giving him a redemption arc. Now we just need to snatch his soul somehow and bring him back to his people which he loves alot from what we can get from his quotes. Another Sunstrider would ascend the throne.

That is a problem the entire Horde council fell to recently. They treat the Forsaken like trash yet they expect loyalty for the new council. Worse then that, they buddy up to someone who is pretty much a usurper(Calia) who lost her rights to the throne when she abandoned her people at their darkest hour. Calia needs to be hung up and killed.

You have a point there.

I’m not happy about that either.

The other two, Rommath, and Brightwing, do even less than he does.

That line…ugh. He’ll never live that one down, I’m afraid.

That is also something that annoys me greatly. I found the rivalry between the two rather amusing, but speaking ill of the dead and saying Nathanos was a jerk even in life? That’s a step too far, dude.
I’m curious if the Sylvanas novel will elaborate on this, so far the lore does not seem to support this statement at all.

Me too, that’s one of the things I’m interested about. I could see Nathanos being a braggart and a Bully, but also considering that he hated politics and spent a lot of time running away from Silvermoon and the fact that “not being as good of a Ranger as Lorthemar” seems to be a soft spot for him so I don’t think it’s true. I think it’s the opposite, Lorthemar is a bully who looks down his nose at humans and that’s dissapointing as someone who also likes him and thought he was better than that.

It makes him be-friending Jaina and teaching Zekhan to read that much more annoying because he seems to be only selectively a bigot.

So in 2011? Him hating Nathanos for butchering that elf lodge in EPL has been canon since In the Shadow of the Sun. Blizzard remembering that he’s meant to despise the guy is one of the few examples of them respecting past characterization instead of ignoring it.

Hating undead Nathanos for killing BE’s is understandable but Lorthemar having a poor opinion of Nathanos in life supports Nathanos recollection that Lorthemar bullied him or at least treated him as an outsider.

Nathanos’ poor treatment in life from his fellow Rangers is what lead to his venegence against them as an undead.

His undead self definitely is ( was ), but calling him that “in life” comes off as slander when he is described as “noble and respected by all” by others.
As you say, he preferred the solitude of his farm over Silvermoon for reasons, and it just makes no sense to me that he as the outsider in the order should have bullied the others.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
