Exclude select BGs again, please

I know I’m not the first, or even thousandth person to say it, but Blizz, for the love of f***, please let us tick off two boxes for our least favorite BGs to exclude from queues again.

I absolutely hate what you’ve done to Ashran, it sucks, it’s not fun, even when winning. It’s a waste of my time, I don’t want to play it ever again. I hate it. My feelings are identical regarding Wintergrasp, for the same reasons.

The larger issue here, however, is that premade discord groups are using these two battlegrounds to farm honor and conquest. Your half-measure of reducing the conquest from successive victories in regular BGs even further than before does very little to discourage this. Both of these BGs are determined, nearly 100% of the time, in the first exchange, with premades always winning out over random pugs.

No, I’m not going to join a discord premade group for casual BGs. This game is supposed to be fun, and you’re allowing these groups to ruin that for everyone.

If we could just exclude these two BGs from the random queue without the penalty to bonus honor/conquest (used at this point for gearing alts, alt-specs, etc…), then they would have to play with themselves instead of trapping everyone into playing almost exclusively these two maps. I get these two maps about 70% of the time or more, and I’m just tired of it.

I’ve been playing WoW for nearly 20 years, I’ve bought copies of the game for friends who couldn’t afford it, tokens to renew, and I’ve kept my sub going even during times when I took a break from the game. I know what I do and not like, and well, this just isn’t fun like this. I like to play casually, not hardcore, because it’s a very social game, but when things like this drive all of my friends away from the game, it drives longtime players like me away as well.

Ball’s in your court, Blizz.

You already have blacklist. It’s called specific queue.
You can completely avoid Ashran and WG.
The bonus conquest and honor comes from being willing to take a chance on a BG you might not like. Too bad.
You’re welcome. Have fun.

I think you missed the point, so let me clarify:

I play the game, I like some features, I dislike others. They used to have this feature, and they took it away. Doing so only serves premade discord groups. This is a very commonly shared opinion.

You do not get to dismiss the concerns of anyone, let alone hundreds of thousands of players.

Have fun.

I can promise you that no one is using epics to farm conquest.

At least I hope they aren’t, lol.

No, I got your point.
You want to remove certain battlegrounds from the pool of maps you might get when queuing for random BGs because you do not like some of them.
I am saying too bad. If you don’t like certain BGs you already have a way to avoid getting them. If you want the bonus rewards for queuing random BGs then you’ll have to deal with getting a map you might not like. Too bad.

The irony. “you cant dismiss my concerns!” while dismissing the people who would be against the return of blacklisting.
But anyway, yes I do get to dismiss whoever and whatever I want to.
Just like I dismiss flat earthers, I will dismiss people who are whining for illogical game changes.
The removal of blacklisting was a good thing.

The removal of blacklisting was a terrible decision and you’re literally the only person who has ever said otherwise, and you’re clearly trolling at this point.

Ignored.

I think you may be overestimating the amount of people who play.

I’m with Herxc. If you don’t want to play certain maps, you can specific queue. But you lose out on the bonus for running randoms.

Actually, once you hit 1400 rating, you can can buy boxes for 375 conquest to send to your alts to get random gear. It allows you to fully gear an alt in a matter of days instead of weeks.

So, yeah, there’s actually a good reason to farm conquest in epics. I’m not sure when they added this feature, and it seems that not a lot of people were aware of it that I’ve spoken to. It could have been there for ages, and I just missed it while on break from the game or playing classic.

If you’re on a toon capable of running 1400 rated, why would you spend your time farming for 37 conquest per win?

By that logic, if you want to play certain maps, you can specific queue and leave everyone else to shake things up without having poorly modified maps being the only ones that ever pop.

Excellent. Glad you agree. Since I want to play randomly, I can queue randomly. You don’t want random, so you can specific queue.

Yeah. It’s unfortunate.

I think most PvPers want a healthy random bg environment. Sadly, there are some people who don’t mind driving others away from PvP.

They’d end up going against new PvPers who are unaware that there’s a blacklist. Those poor newbies would have a terrible introduction to PvP.

I am aware of that.

No, there is not.

LOL
Again, the irony coming from the clown who was whining about dismissing peoples concerns.
Go ahead and bury your head in the sand

lol I remember isle as horde when nobody else did it what a nub party

you mean hours?

If they are farming conquest using epics, it could take days.

They got rid of the feature because they got rid of the most blacklisted BG ( SotA ) and then separated the “epic” and “normal” queues.

:woman_shrugging:

You do not get to inflate this issue like it’s the concern of hundreds of thousands of players and not just one.

Have fun.

they knew immediately everyone would blacklist seething shore; it was their new shiny map they wanted to show off and they couldn’t do that if everyone blacklisted it and it never popped.

i’ve even seen it played right with proper calls and its still the worst bg in the game.

Why not? Epics are a decent source of conquest, probably the best without having to do rated.
