Yep third spec for evokers confirmed for 10.1.5 and while yes it’s not a tank spec it opens the potential for a tank spec as now we evokers are using all five flights of magic so we could see in the future a tank spec where we use black dragon magic for defense and idk self healing via red or green magic for our sustain but we’ll see. Lot of potential now that we’re able to tap black dragon magic more freely like we could even see a spec that’s black dragon magic and blue dragon magic but I highly doubt a pure black dragon magic spec will be a thing. I for one want to see a spec where we wield blue and green or maybe green and red as that might be wild

Dude… I pointed out exactly how he was very obviously misdirecting people AT THE TIME. He did not lie, you were fooled because he told you a very specific set of facts and you interpreted them exactly how he wanted you to in order to fool yourself.

People need to remember he is a lawyer and often uses lawyer speak to avoid things he doesn’t want to give away. He will use unnecessary specifics and vagaries to manipulate perceptions. Go watch it. Pay close attention to what he does NOT say and would be far easier which is just “no.”

The way he said it was very exhibitive of misdirection. He speaks about how dataminers find artifacts of discarded ideas (paraphrasing) and such, but never once said this is what was found.

He is very SPECIFIC, DIRECT, and BRIEF when answering the the question if this is part of the upcoming patch. “There is definitely no 3rd spec in 10.1.” The “10.1” part is the tell. A normal answer would be “We have no plans at this time for a 3rd spec.”

He then shifts and goes on a long answer about datamining in general, and never circles back to say “We have no plans for evoker spec changes.” He instead leaves that door open by saying “Anything is possible down the line,” so to step on the follow up question “What about a future patch?” with a VAGUE answer.

He said no 3rd spec in 10.1. Truth, there is not.
He said people datamine development artifacts. Truth, people found alpha dragon isles, emerald dream, outland, and the Aeshara battleground in vanilla wow.

It was you that linked those together and formed the idea “There is no 3rd spec, this is a development artifact.” There is a difference between you were lied to and you were tricked. It is like saying a magician lied to you. No, he convinces you he is doing magic by using a trick. As long as you think this was verbal magic you will always be vulnerable to the trick.

Your conceited “I told you so” moment doesn’t make the decision to introduce a new spec during an x.x.5 patch any less nonsensical. And really, the other things they announced for 10.1.5 after a comically lukewarm 10.1 just tell me what consistency in this game is either gone or on its way out.

Up is down. Left is right. Lightforged can be warlocks. Minor patches add more than major patches. Classes can get new specs halfway into an expansion.
