This is unfortunately SOOO true, lol.
Like Season 2 and Season 3, didn’t even properly match the Dracthyr Armor colors. Like I think their Tier should match what they can wear in their natural form, since we can’t use normal mog as it stands.
While I love Season 2, the Green Color doesn’t fully match the Green/Gold Dracthyr Armor. It’s like the vibrancy of the Green from the Green/Silver but with that Gold accent. Making it super hard if you want it be cohesively matching.
Season 3 has a closer match up, and I like that it’s Nozdormu’s outfit (with Elite PvP being his color scheme too). But it sucks not being able to use the belt, and some of the colors don’t have matching analogs to Dracthyr Armor.
Season 1, was just rocks and ephemeral looking magic. With the green set literally just looking like Emerald Dream Magic, and the Red from Elite PvP being like a more Firey version of Living Flame (since it’s kinda pinkish when it’s wielded by Dracthyr).
So it just fits more because of that, and is easier to match for a cohesive look in our natural form.
Like c’mon Blizz, let us mog regular clothing or let us have the Tier as armor in the barber shop.

It has the best shoulders and that’s all that really matters tbh.
Like, T2’s got that weird double wing business going on that would 100% screw up flying, and whilst T3 isn’t bad, it’s very much Bronze themed and we’ve got like three sets of Metal With Sandy Balls this expansion alone, not to mention we’ve no shortage of “coloured armour with metallic trim” this expansion
T1 looks like something that could feasibly be part of a dracthyr’s body, being elongated shoulder spikes, they don’t have that annoying issue that every other set has where they don’t match our barbershop armour properly, and all the effect colours match at least one spec (emerald dream green for preservation, earthwarder yellow for augmentation, and spellfrost blue for devastation), with the Normal, Heroic, Mythic, and PvP sets also pulling double duty for incarnate themes. The only “appropriate” colour it’s missing is Shadowflame.

To be honest, I don’t think I really care. Since I’m not ever going to see it besides the shoulders and maybe a belt.
If you can make evoker tier sets show up on dragon form, then I would reconsider.

The fact season 1 won is just wow… like yeah vote for the set that no matter what colour Blizzard go with won’t match Dracthyr Armor like rip my hopes of a decent silver and green set.
Like all 3 were complete trash but at least the third one which somehow got the lowest amount of votes looked like it belonged to a caster class which Evoker is.

The season 3 set is going to inherently garner less votes since it is current content and thus easily obtainable right now. Season 2 and 3 sets also had the bonus of certain tracks dipping into the next track, allowing you to gain a higher level appearance by upgrading an item. You can get the full mythic set by only clearing heroic, or the full heroic set by only clearing normal, etc.
Also, season 1 still has the best shoulders.
Plus it looks terrible. No more dresses for dragons!
