Evoker needs a third spec

Lore?
Some people actually enjoy the lore around the new class and race.
And some people don’t mind that they only can be one class.

I for one find it an interesting move. But I still hope they will get more classes in a future patch.

Why not at the start? Because they don’t need anything else at the start.
Its an entire new class. And people will want to try this class first.

Sorry but I’m not down with this. I saw how they “simply added in lore” for Shadowlands and that didn’t work so well. Shadowlands had bad lore, they did some things okay but a majority was terrible.

I’m okay with them adding in more classes after this expansion, but right now, I’m okay with letting this class + race shine on its own. This is coming from someone who wanted to be a Dracthyr Discipline Priest but couldn’t because it’s locked behind one class.

OK? So restrict a race from picking any other class for 2 or so years because they come with a class? That sounds incredibly foolish and a good way too kill interest in a new race.
They can add in lore about them learning a class and have it completely fleshed out by the time the dragon isles comes out. No need to wait years to play a dragon warrior.

Maybe even make you lvl as an evoker then get a quest unlocked at max lvl too allow you too train as and switch too a different class.

Tank isn’t happening. You will have to wait for them to get more classes in the future.

and that is exactly what they plan as far as I read from Interviews.
As soon as the Dracthyr are lived in around the factions, they will be able to get other classes.
How long that will take idk.
I might be something of the first content patch … or a later one.

Maybe they will open it up at 70? Who knows.
As far as it concerns me, as long as the possibility for other classes exists I’m fine with not having them at the start of the expansion.

For you, maybe. I personally find it more interesting this way. I think a dragon running around hitting someone with a mace or shooting guns would be stupid. Them having a class that is specific to their abilities as a species makes the most sense.

The irony of posting this while on a DH.

You did read todays interview stuff right you will be using swords and what not as an evoker basically shaman weapon +sword -shield. Who knows if that involves animations but yeah you got weapons.

Sure, as stat sticks. You don’t see my priest going and beating monsters over the head with her staff.

A drac’thyr warrior not using any magic and just whacking things with sticks would be downright silly.

What about worgen using guns and swords when they have teeth and claws…

Yeah, Worgen should definitely be able to mog away their weapons and use unarmed animations.

But that’s a different conversation.

They can and should make it happen quickly. It would be very dumb not too really, they have so much time they can easily figure a way too doo it relatively quickly.

Going based on what you are saying worgen should also only be able too play as their own specific class and no others at that point.

You have to wait until 11.0 for them to Learn to tank

Maybe, Maybe not but Blizz can hear about as much as I want until then

That is not comparable.
Because Worgen are cursed to be worgen. That doesn’t take away from the skills they could have learned in their life before they got cursed.

Dracthyr never met anyone outside of their race to begin with.

Not really, since we had examples of worgen spellcasters and other classes before they were playable.

I would have been fine with a worgen class though.

Just saying certain races and classes clash in a multitude of odd ways but are allowed or shoehorned into place.
There’s just no reason to completely restrict them from playing other classes.

Dracthyr are not completely restricted …
Ion said they might possibly will get other classes, just not at the start of DF.

I think there is. Dragons in Warcraft are powerful creatures with innate abilities.

Them being in a class of their own is appropriate.
