I didn’t even bother killing Sark last week’s because I’m over trying to get it, if it drops I don’t even know if I’ll bother crafting it.
Thats the thing, its not easy. You seem to think that because you see it it must be common. People made literal army’s of alts to get it. And the “journey” is overboard as well considering you have to hope it drops and then farm the mats.
Im 50/50 on that. The Warglaives were another hard one to get. I would prefer a slightly better chance at getting one, and an absolutely brutal make you want to quit the game quest afterward. It is a legendary item, it shouldnt be easy obtain. But let the gatekeeping be a quest, a grind, raid specific challeges like having to charge it up by channeling something specific in a fight. There isnt any current content where i can think of a good example. But the axe from ICC required the gathering of souls.
Us Evoker mains are too selfish. We’ve enjoyed Evoker since pre-patch! Surely we must consider the ALTS that happened to luck out and get it after a few tries!
We need no Legendaries. The alts do!
Legendary items shouldn’t come from rng, rather from a questline that involves challenging challenges that require a lot of skill and effort to complete. At least then you know when you see someone with the legendary that they’re good at their class and not someone who just tagged along and got lucky and got it on their first kill.
With the crafting system in place that is actually pretty easy to do.
wwlegowhen
The common player did not make “armies of alts”. It’s easy.
Its 100% not. Again just because you think it is does not mean it is. Idk why you think seeing it means its common but you are wrong.
12 weeks, 3 months of kills, 10 of which are hunting and surviving pugs, and no drop, meanwhile a friend got it week one from LFR on an alt.
“RNG is RNG” is nonsense. Bad Luck Protection can be implemented in a number of ways, but the way to reward a character who has played solidly since day one is not to make them spend hours and hours a week pugging, dealing with the same mistakes by people every single week, to get something a throw away character gets with zero effort.
They could have taken raid/dungeon kills into effect, starting the bad luck protection higher, or any number of systems. Straight up RNG with a small incremental chance each week to win the internal roll is not a great system. I’m at what, 24% chance now after three months?
It’s just not a fun mechanic, especially with the game rubbing our bad luck in our faces.
Yep. So tired of seeing that fake af toast every few minutes when this damn thing DOESNT drop. Im tired of collecting bad luck protection. This crap needs to be fixed.
I personally wanted to main my hunter but the raszageth bow thing happened, never got the bow, rerolled shadow because BM was absolute trash without the bow.
Fast forward into the future, augmentation gets announced, first support spec in the game, I’m excited, always liked support specs in other mmos/games, evoker legendary happens, flashbacks to raszageth bow situation, I quit the game but keep the sub on because I gotta get 12 months of trading post for the warden transmog they’ve been teasing forever.
Excited for discipline next patch, excited the specs that will suffer this time with the dog-sh… legendary RNG system are warriors, DK and Paladins, none of which I play (unless the acquisition method for the axe is different, dunno since I couldn’t care less about it).
I’ve been bringing my evoker to heroic raid nights with my guild instead of the toon I want to.
I’ve watched guildies get it for the last 6 weeks straight now. I think it’s just me and one other in the guild who haven’t had it drop and it feels bad.
Especially when I’m one of the only engineers in the guild, so I’ve had to craft it for 3 guildies, which I’m happy to do, but it feels bad when all I want is for it to freaking drop so I can do the raid bosses on the character I actually want to.
Evoker leggo this, evoker leggo that, meanwhile I don’t even raid hardly at all so I dont have to worry about it. It’s pretty blissful I must say.
Killed it every week on Heroic since the legendary came out, 20 Weeks now. This is getting a bit ridiculous.
no. no more triumphant roars.
Id be fine with the -1% leggo drop rates if they made an identical version of the leggo drop with the same stats just make it purple and look like a questing green.
Then hide an awesome Tmog appearance behind a -1% drop and a long quest chain and use the purple as part of the requirement to “craft” the appearance.
No one misses out on the stats and it still gives you something rare to strive for.
except legendaries are supposed to be cool looking.
Yea, they still would be.
The leggo would look cool, the purple would look like a quest green because it’s not the legendary.
item levels mean it CANT have the exact same stats. thats not how item levels are coded to work.
