That would be the best, it would also give a dedicated guild a choice in who gets it first, rather than a random alt getting it randomly which will never help progress the raid.
It’s not been a lot of fun killing H Sark every week for 4 months chasing a weapon that would only see a couple months of use if it were to drop now. BLP doesn’t matter if you still can’t get it. This experience has me considering not renewing my subscription in a couple days. No drop again today. Should’ve joined a mythic team I guess.

I’ve killed Arthas probably 400 times. Still dont have the mount.
Was flying around a month ago or so with a friend of mine clearing old raids for mounts, he was excited when we got to northrrnd cause he joined in Cata and never got to play through that content. We ran ICC. He got Arthas’s horse 1st run through. Not saying i didnt want to reach through the internet and force him to open a trade window, but hay lo que hay. Ive killed Arthas another 20 times since then…RNG Gods are not my friends in ICC…
My bad luck extends to finding numerous groups that either get to Sark and disband, or try Sark a couple times and fail, then disband… It’s been disheartening and I assume I will not receive the item.
Imagine complaining that a legendary was to hard to get. I’d agree with you yet it seems like 1 out of every 3 raiding evokers have this stupid legendary. My guild has barely touched mythic raiding and we’ve got at least 4 evokers in the guild with this legendary…and they are all alts.
Stop expecting blizzard to hand you everything. It’s a MMO and a legendary is supposed to be difficult to obtain. At no point should it become an easy task to get a legendary just because “but daddy I want it”.
As a solo player ill go ahead and say it does not get easier once you get the gem. I got the gem last week finally but am missing two items to finish it. The temporal vestigials and everburning shadowflames. The shadow flames are easy, just need to actually do some of the assaults. The temporals though requires an absurd amount. Two of the items requires 80 which is fine, but the chassis requires 240 alone.
Problem is they tacked a huge farm onto a also low drop chance. Its fine if its one or the other but both is a bit much.
It is pretty bad. I didn’t get the Sylvanas bow for my Hunter which I was maining at the time of Shadowlands. Sure was fun not having access to an extra button that AoE silenced and did damage. I don’t see why they couldn’t just have “shards” of it drop and after 10 kills you get it or something.
No…it’s a legendary. I’ve seen so many evokers and evoker alts toting this thing around I won’t believe for 1 second it’s that difficult to get. My only gripe is it should be harder to obtain. Do many evokers have this stupid thing it’s not even special anymore.
Your beliefs that its common does not mean it actually is. You have seen lucky ones. People also made armies of alts trying to get it.
Legendaries should be sure but then they also shouldn’t tie one specifically to a race/class so tightly that actual lore for them is behind getting it.
Sure are a lot of “lucky ones”. You remember way back in vanilla where the only people holding the two available legendaries were in prestigious guilds and the legendaries required the entire guild to help achieve. This is what I believe the legendary should be. It shouldn’t be something any evoker can just go get. It’s supposed to be difficult to obtain and that should mean only a few have it. Instead we’ve got people who are barely capable of clearing heroic content and evoker alts carrying this thing. It’s shameful to me that blizzard has made, what is supposed to be the hardest items to get, so easy to obtain.
While it does make sense for a legendary to be “hard to obtain” - I don’t think “RNG” should be the difficulty to obtain it
Like - the quests and everything you have to do after you get the gems are A LOT - but imo - reasonable for a legendary quest weapon.
Though - the fact that you have to wait for the roll of a dice is rough
Having a legendary that you can make noticeable progress towards makes the most sense to me

Week 19 and still no luck for the evokers on our team.

I thought this legendary was relatively easier to get, cause sometimes the chat window gets flooded due to multiple players getting it.
Anyone knows if it drops at LFR difficulty?
You are only getting minimal use out of it if you get a mythic weapon in the 1st week of the next tier. Until you have a mythic weapon it’s BiS.
I wanted to make a troll post of “what daily quest spams that text in the chat - I want to do it” - but eh, when you have large numbers of people that’s when RNG shines - you’ll have people who get it and people who don’t - we’re just seeing all those who get it - not those who aren’t getting it

Heroic weapon from final boss will replace it, so no, not just mythic weapon.

Never thought I’d see people on GD defending such a poor acquisition method, especially since it was one of the most hated parts about legion (the other being warforge/titanforging).
Also, since you seem to have not read the entire thread, you can also have an item be rare without involving RNG.
I’ve been playing evoker since day 1 of them being released, so that is quite the assumption, but then again, that’s the only thing forum trolls can do.
It is region wide, so when you see that chat, it could be anyone on any of the US servers who got the item.

Sadly this legendary won’t see a change with that, unless they did it with an upgrade item next season for it.
I’d love to see them make this 100% drop chance and add the upgrade item from something not RNG.
There is a reason they moved away from those types of legendary items. It caused far more issues than it solved.
Those legendary items also lasted all expansion, and far into the next expansion (atiesh was on par with TBC raid weapons). It gave you a reason to keep trying to get it, even after the patch ended. This legendary will be replaced next season in heroic.
The game is seasonal now, the game needs to adapt and not look at old content from 2004 as examples.
If people liked RNG legendary items, they would have done it more past legion.

There is nothing difficult about RNG.
If you wanted it harder to obtain, then you would be asking for a harder questline or mythic only, which we would agree on.

Why thank you. I consider my self to be a pretty little flower amongst the weeds. However what I gave u is an opinion. I didn’t say you have to agree or disagree with me. I am just stating a legendary, to me, should be extremely rare or at the very least require a journey to achieve. It shouldn’t just be …well I made this class, killed a boss, did a quest, bam. At the very least if it’s going to be this easy then it should be open to more classes and not just evokers.
