Well I’ll put aside for a second that fact that Vanish only works about 50% of the time in Delves - half the time Brann will stealth with me and reset the fight - I hate the feeling of gimping myself. Crackshot is the only viable build for putting out respectable DPS, and it feels awful to play. I’m not asking for the moon and the sun here, literally just a viable alternative build

I have never had vanish reset a delve fight.
I think you’re just assuming the bad WQ experience carries over into delves when that isn’t the case.

Only way I can see it happening is if you are BTEing too slowly, or there was a weird hotfix/change in the last 48 hours.
I never had it reset combat when I didn’t want it to in the 24+ bountifuls I’ve done on my 2 rogues.
i mean wanting other viable builds is fine, i wont fight that. but odds are, these builds will also require vanish in some capacity. vanish and outlaw was tight since legion
And now they’re nerfing Outlaw next reset

I just don’t understand how they can have gameplay-defining capstone talents (crackshot) and not realize that some people just want to play the way a spec played for over a decade.
Not everyone wants this Vanish, sub rogue, Crackshot window spec. Just tune the capstones and give us choice…and don’t control those talent “choices” with tier gear, like I’m sure you’re going to in future tiers.

Why would they? Combat didn’t need Vanish as a discount Shadow Dance. Why are you so obsessed with the spec that’s always been Stealth second to making Stealth its only viable thing when Subtlety is right there.
The future is now, old man. Our four-piece set bonus specifically targets Between The Eyes because of course it does. Can’t have anything interesting, that would just get in the way of the ‘cerebral’ gameplay of Hill Billy Subtlety.

also combat also did some vanish dps things. if YOU didnt do it then YOU didnt know better
Subtlety is still around for twenty years and yet you’re still bemoaning how Outlaw isn’t Subtlety. Go play Sub if you want your stealth play that badly.

stealth is rogue fantasy as a whole, not just sub. if you dont want stealth in your rogue fantasy, then play fury warrior.
no, but even if i was i wouldnt listen to 75% of the people on this forums.
again from what i gathered from you specifically. is yes multiple builds will be great but all of them will involve vanish in one way or another. your trying to min max in content that frankly doesnt need to be min maxed. i can roll up to delves and world content with the most dog build i can think off and still outdps plenty of outlaw players. you just gotta let go of the self impose problem of “min maxing” for content that doesnt need to be minmaxed and play what you want to play

Pretty sure every spec of a Rogue has heavy ties to Stealth. Also, “We” is almost certainly a very vocal very small portion of the community. Especially when we have post like the OP, that can’t seem to figure out why Combat is getting nerfed and half of his “list” are nether bugs or “something wrong”, but more his opinion of what he thinks should be considered bugs.
