Everything wrong with BfA in one player quote

You’re wrong OP.

Everything wrong with BFA is represented by this post. That being the fact that it is misconstruing, trolling, and dramatizing insignificant and unimportant things.

That’s what’s wrong with BFA.

You… are what’s wrong with BFA.

Wait, you’re saying that “Johnny” is trying to pug mythic raids because of his gear level? I wasn’t aware anyone was pugging mythic raids. I don’t raid anymore, but if I did decide to start I’d most definitely only do it with a guild.

If you are talking about pugging normal raids, well you take what you can get. I don’t think I’d even do those outside of a guild and never have when I did raid.

There are alternate means of gearing to give everyone a shot at good gear. I’m not sure why anyone would care. Heck, I’d think the guilds that are mythic raiding would like it since if broadens their pool of possible recruits that at least are partially geared.

One reason: it’s far more challenging coordinating 19 other people than 4 other people. Not making an argument for or against one being more difficult than the other (because that’s totally subjective) - just observing a fact.

It was my post. He seems to have grabbed it soon after I made it. Yes, I did a +10 as many weeks as I could starting about a month or so in to season 1. However, i also got titanforged 390 pants (still using them btw) the first week of last season, and a titanforged 390 trinket (also still using it) the second week, along with titanforged 425 boots the second day of season 2.

Okay how much mythic raid gear did you get? Not upgraded dungeon gear.

All 3 pieces I could get from taloc.

That wasn’t directed towards you.

Cool then what is the OP taking about.

He doesn’t exactly know what he’s talking about, he’s just repeating the talking point about “gear is bad”, without any solutions.

You are correct AT FIRST. Now, I mostly heroic raid, and just dabble in mythic but can we stop acting like raid after progression is hard? After your team knows the mechanics, has delt with progression, etc basically your farming every week after that. Almost any guild I have been in for progression is tight and on point. By the time farming rolls around we are drinking while raiding, joking, laughing, playing music while we do the dance against a boss who really stands no chance at that point.

Mythic+ is a good bit of RNG however. Give me a kings rest key, I am a happy man. Give me an Atal or Motherlode and I am pretty much grumbling and cursing. (depending on affixes)

In context my post was a response to someone saying that getting gear was too much like gambling. I was pointing out that rng is part of all mmorpgs and that it isn’t hard or that uncommon to get lots high ilvl gear without really doing the content associated with the item level.

Having bad players in group content only matters in group content. Those of us not in group content really don’t care how bad other players are.

But understand the sentiment.

But the issue of Ilvl and where we’re getting too much of it-- bares on the shoulders of this is the symptoms of other issues and this was how they fixed those issues by placing a scripted band aid over it.

He seems to be equating Ilvl with being mythic geared and you shouldn’t be able to get those Ilvl’s without mythic raiding. At least that’s the picture I’ve been reading.

He’s not really taking all of the information into consideration-- even Mythic 10 and beyond doesn’t really have great gear for the raiding scene. It’s great for Mythic+. It does help, however. I know a ton of Mythic raiders that are pushing high end mythic+ keys to help offset the enforced PL in the raiding scene.

Why? Mythic pluses are great viable content that gives you one piece per week at the highest difficulty. People wanted highend 5 man content and got it. Some don’t want to have to be a part of 20 man groups.

Which you can’t. This entire thread is a waste of time, but because the game and the forums are dying stupid threads like this get way more attention than they should.

I’m all for high-end 5-man content, if that’s your thing. All I am saying is it shouldn’t reward gear on the same level as mythic raiding. That’s lazy game design.

That isn’t lazy game design. If M+10+ was so easy, you’d be doing it, but you aren’t instead you opt into world bosses and weekly loot.

well that’s gotta be a buncha lies.

I don’t argue for them being easy or hard either one. I don’t do many of them because I hate the go-go-go atmosphere of mythic+. Just like everyone else, I choose where I get my loot from, but that doesn’t mean the systems for getting that loot are ideal. It’s what we have, and in my opinion, it’s a lazy design.

It is not on the level of mythic raids, it is 1 pc set at 5 ilvls lower once weekly. Look at the highest ilvls in the world when Method was doing their progression, one of their mains Joshpriest was the highest ilvl in the world at over 416. Mythic raiders will still overall the highest ilvls (gladiators etc. and high level mythic plus runners too should have equal ilvls and they will catch up that will take time).

Why? It’s different gear and is something that takes mythic level skill to complete.
