Why do I have to pay 3000 gold to fully enchant my crafted pre-raid BiS gear which costs 4000 gold to make, which I will fully replace after a few weeks of Karazhan at which point I have to fully enchant my gear again. Not to mention the insane consumable costs aswell.
Wow, I’ll take world buffs over any of this. We truly thought we did, but we didn’t.
Of course it’s going to be more expensive at the start. I feel as though this is what everyone should have expected especially with how inflated gold is.
This is actually pretty generous to think you’ll have everything you want from Kara in just a few weeks. You might, I guess. My experience is that all the caster stuff is pretty hard-fought over.
Is there any current boss people can’t easily kill?
Obviously right now things are the most expensive as few people have hit 70. Just wait till you get an item worth enchanting. It’s always been like this. Prices will slowly drop as more become available.
You dont have to get them enchanted.
But if you really dislike the price, you can always level up enchanting yourself, then you can just enchant your own gear.
The answer is simple. Don’t. Most pre-raid BiS, is only a goal to get you by until you have proper raid gear. Pieces that you get that are a part of your raid set, yes enchant them. But pre-raid gear, or stuff that you aren’t keeping for phase1 at least, either get the cheap enchants, or skip the enchants.
If the expensive crafted gear, is only pre-bis, and not actually raid bis, grab similar gear from dungeons instead, and save yourself some gold. Don’t gotta get that sweaty for gear that’s only gonna last you a couple weeks.
Again, that same philosophy doesn’t apply to your actual raid gear. Your raid gear/Raid BiS should be fully gemmed and chanted, and yes it’s prolly gonna be expensive.
You can be both a Tailor and an Enchanter and perform all services for yourself, for free, after you go out and farm the necessary cloth, primals, and DE fodder.
It’s barely week 3, most of the people are leveling their professions so there is very little influx of raw materials that would be there from farming, this is expected.
Also just because a list says an item is bis doesn’t mean you have to 100% focus on that single item or gear set, Most lists worth their salt will give you 2-3 alternatives that can be done which often talk about “if cost is too high go for x”, also go for cheaper enchants, don’t be wasting gold on prebis gear to fully enchant it when it will be replaced shortly.
