Doesn’t crafted gear fill that void?
People wouldn’t spend the dinars on craftable slots though, they would be used on unbalanced trinkets, jastor diamond, or gallytech weapon. As Ion promised
Yeah, but it’s not super BiS rare gear, so to the people who constantly whine about WoW being turned into an Esport, it might as well not exist.
In that case, remove the ability to purchase any gear from vendors for PvP. Not fair they get deterministic gear paths and PvE players are left with RNGesus.
Crafted, and Catalyst, make a system like this unnecessary.
All Blizzard has to do is get rid of the stupid “very rare” items. This is a relatively new problem that BLIZZARD CREATED.
mythic raid shouldn’t even drop loot at all… it should ONLY be for achievements.
no loot should be tied to a game mode with participation that low.
go sim a 675 crafted ring against a 678 Jastor Diamond and you can tell me the difference between the two, ok?
But they buffed it again before SL S1 was over. 1 piece of loot for every 5 ppl has been the standard for a very long time.
I wasn’t talking about super bis rare gear, and neither was the person I responded to. They were saying we havnt had a non-rng system to fill out gear since wrath, even acknowledging it wasn’t bis. I was saying crafted gear fills that purpose and does it a lot better than the old welfare epic vendors.
I was curious so I did just that…comes out to about 1%
With how often they try to gaslight us into thinking that raid gearing is overpowered, they can handle it.
Sure but dinars were not created to alleviate that. They’re unrelated
Does it matter though? Season 3 will render all the gear obsolete anyway. Might as well let the players have a bit of fun for a couple of months.
No dinars? I was really looking forward to it
Good, they shouldnt have been a thing to begin with.
No word on that. They may just be implemented later. Keep in mind not everything is released at once for this patch. And we may not see it until next season.
No one said “I promise.”
Naguura asked: “Could you maybe share with us how it’s going to work?”
Ion’s answer was: “I mean… we’re going to have a lot more details… umm… there’ll be more info— it’s going to be in the 11 1 5 update. … We’ll have more details in the next update, though.”
That’s literally word for word, including his stumbles.
by the time they get around to releasing them, it will be so close to s3 that they will be worthless.
frankly they should release them in s3 anyways going into midnight like they did at the end of df
everything coming in 11.1.5 is mid i might just pass on it. i had enough of visions six years ago
night fall looks ok but its just a recolor set nothing stands out
Every time I suggest that Mythic only be for cosmetic rewards like transmog, without actual gear upgrades, i get my head bitten off.
So now I just suggest making it Flex content in the .5 patch after all the nerfs have gone out, the mid-patch super power item arrives, all the hardcore raiders had their fill of challenging 20 player content, and the casual guilds are just starting to get AotC and are looking to move on. You know, open it up to a lot more people after the difficulty has already been compromised.
And i still get my head bitten off. There’s no middle ground with these people

frankly they should release them in s3 anyways going into midnight like they did at the end of df
They probably will. People misunderstood Ion. He said more information is coming in the next patch. Not that the cartel chips themselves are.
I imagine the dinars are going to come later in the patch. They were originally planned for renown 17, and we’re only on renown 6 this week. They’re probably going to be sticking to a similar timeline to their placement on the renown track, just won’t have it so in our face about being locked to a specific week.
