I think CC is out of control
Too many weak specs such as FDK etc
Heals are OP
MMR is jacked up fo sho
Epic BGs need fixed
I submit all my suggestions thru in game feedback system. They dont read this stuff.
they would rather maintain forum civility than address the reason people arent being civil on the forums
True, especially in a BG setting. This has been an issue for a while. Even in cata I have watched videos of insane CC chains that are nearly unavoidable. To me itâs to many passive snairs and micro CCs.
Ya idk there are weaker specs if you compare them to S tier specs. But I think the issue is more there are still some S tier specs that need to be addressed somehow, or other specs need to be brought up a little. But I donât think I would say to many weak specs. This coming from someone who plays frost DK. Granted maybe not well but lol.
In BGs I would agree a little. But that is because the game is balanced around 3v3 which has dampening. You see the opposite in RSS to an extent with how fast dampening ramps up. Also a lot of non hybrid classes that sometimes heal better than the hybrid classes do.
Yep 100%. Old system that needs to be replaced.
Also agree. Need to find a way to eliminate queue syncing, need a new map and/or the old maps updated/fixed.
You would be surprised. They do. Now do they act on them no. I donât think leadership really values PvP all that much. There is no way they do with how little they communicate with us (via interviews like they do with PvE and new content) and how long it takes sometimes to fix clear issues.
ban all the cheaters. clean pvp up! start there
Yeah CC in this game has been in a terrible state for over a decade now. Other games have reduced total CC because they understand that not controlling your character for extended periods of time is a terrible design choice. It is the equivalent of lagging and being unable to respond as people are wailing on you.
Both epic and randoms need a fix. Randoms needs better match making so that 5 man premades will face 5 man premades of similiar skill ( through MMR). And both EBG and random bg need a restriction on how many premades can be on either side.
None of this will be addressed though, as these problems have been going on for much longer than a decade.
This right here - and I keep saying it⌠the type of people in charge are destroying this game.
And by ââtype,ââ I think some of you will understand.
DEI hires that donât actually care about the game? LOL
We havent gotten a new epic bg in almost 15 years. They donât update the vehicles and npcs to compensate power creep. This next season, a dps will sneeze in the general direction of IoC vehicles and it will rip them apart like hurricane cat 5 winds. This game should be f2p if you only pvp. It gets the same dev attention as a dead game on steamâŚnone.
Whatâs kind of funny about this xpac is the PvP design and balance are pretty bad, BUTâŚ
Both of these. WAY too much micro cc that DR doesnt kick in on. The devs are non existent and do not care. Blizz doesnt care. Its just a money thing. They spend their money on pve garbage to get their huge pve crowd to spin on their hamster wheel more and more. RUN THIS DELVE 50 TIMES AND GET A MOUNT, RUN IT 3000 TIMES GET A RECOLORED VERSION OF THE SAME MOUNT!
I hate the excess of micro CCs, itâs annoying. Thatâs why most of the time, I stop doing PvP after reaching 1800. I only went beyond that on my Priest to see how far I could go.
Yea. The complete lack of casting has really killed the counter play for healers. To that, even after they ârun outâ of mana, theyâre healing for a ton still.
PvE is really driving the whole no casting thing, so I donât see changes happening on that front.
PvP players have never been the people who the game is designed around.
In large part cause of every section of the player base PvP players are the ones who are never happy the most. Even role players are more happy with what they are given than pvpers.
No matter what they decide to tune or bg to come out with PvP players usually complain about it.
This.
Solo Shuffle - Check.
Solo RBGs - Check.
Best PvP Gearing since WoD - Check.
New BG Map - Check.
World PvP Quests - Check.
PvPers still unhappy - Check.
Yeah why try to develop content for people who will just bash you for anything you try to create for them.
Probably why holinka left.
I canât remember the last time even half of PvP players gave blizzard a âthank youâ or anything remotely resembling that.
Holinka got completely destroyed, and for good reason. His refusal to give PvPers what they wanted. He didnât give us Solo content due to his belief that forcing people to socialize is the best way to go about PvP. If I remember, he was also part of the reason WoD PvP gearing was changed - forcing people to do rated content in order to upgrade their gear. Holinkaâs carrot on a stick mentality is the main reason PvP died - and unfortunately, even with the promising upgrades - itâs never going to fully recover. He destroyed PvP in this game⌠now other people get the blame.
To many different players wanting to many different things. Usually directly contradictory to each other.
The eternal dilemma of a developer.
Solo Arena/RBGs has been two of the most requested features in this game for many many years - and Holinkaâs refusal to even consider it⌠due to his strange obsession with forcing people to socialize really hurt this game. Holinka believed that by forcing people to do rated content in order to upgrade their gear - would increase the rated population. Personally, I think heâs one of the worst things to ever happen to this game⌠and World of Warcraft is still in recovery mode. If these features had been implemented loooong ago - I donât think the game is in this state.
For sure. I think the one positive item here is that a lot of PvE players are also over the lack of casting. Less casting means more movement and it has really created a different style of play. Hopefully the game starts to move away from its current design in that respect.
