Even from a fully staffed fully competent AAA game company expecting a turn around overnight from a game like WoW in the state it’s in I feel is entirely unrealistic. Your frustrations are justified, but just cut them a little slack they can’t fix everything virtually overnight even though they wish they could.
A little patience goes a long way, companies are allowed to stumble too and it’s perfectly reasonable if you wanted to unsub until things are fixed nobody would blame you.
If you’re asking yourself “Who is this thread for and why does it exist?” it’s just coming from someone who has spent the past week seeing the same posts over and over again about the game balance and all the bugs, which is all fine and good but people are starting to become really nasty about it and that helps nobody.

Is it wrong though to want a finished polished product? That’s what we are all paying for right?

Wanting it isn’t wrong, it’s the behavior that is the issue. Like, imagine throwing a raging fit because the ice cream machine at McDonald’s is broken.

i think that most people expect a fully working product when they have paid for it , if you bought a pair of shoes and opened the box to find they had no laces or the sole was hanging off would you be happy?
when i buy something i expect it to be in full working or usable order at the time of purchase - not yes sir we will get round to fixing it sometime whenever.

Not true at all OP
I would say the average player just wants some semblance of quality and customer service from a paid $15/month service
OF COURSE it’s impossible to fix every single bug/glitch that’s live in a game this large/complex/old, but having a basic expectation of quality and stability from a paid $15/month service is not unreasonable at all

The thing about shoes is that they’re not an ever changing live subscription based service that has gone through years of mismanagement. You have to align your expectations with reality and the reality is they are trying to fix the game and also work their way back from the PR disaster in 2020.

no, what is annoying is people like you that try to gas light everyone else into thinking its wrong to want a working product from a company that is making billions of dollars.
that is what is annoying. get out of here with this brainrot company boot licker take lol

Absolutely you are 110% correct, the point I’m trying to get across though is that the constant beratment of staff and insults being continuously hurled at the company isn’t how we are going to solve things and make the game better. If you find a bug? Report it and be as professional as you can about it, the game can heal and grow much easier when the consumers and developers coexist peacefully.
the other thing about shoes is that i dont pay a fee to own them then pay another monthly fee to be able to wear them…
i still find the amount of people that defend a company that doesnt pay them astounding , as i said before anything else you have paid for in your life you expect to be in full working /usable order when you get it .

Not at all what I’m saying here.
I’m willing to have some patience but what annoys me is the, “let’s ship expansions faster” crowd.
Let’s fix what’s already out before we start pushing for another release.

Some bugs were mass reported and 5 years later still not fixed. The frustration in this bug riddled xpack is a good thing. It puts some pressure on that so things can start to move and get fixed.

I’d be happy with eventually.
Still see bugs from Cata and Shadowlands all over the place.

They will probably just leave the company if even more pressure is applied, I hear they’re having a hard time keeping people there.
While this is a nice thought & all, we report bugs & watch as things which are not now & have never been broken (such as the recent “improvement” to TW dungeons) get attention but the actual broken things never get fixed or even addressed in some cases.
I do agree that demanding people be fired or excessive name-calling & nastiness don’t help the situation much, but I understand the frustration & honestly? I’ve been playing for 20 years, bought every CE (except TBC & Vanilla), was in nearly every Beta (and two Alphas) and I’d never tell the playerbase to put up & shut up. We have the right to point out that the things we’ve asked be fixed, that were acknowledged as issues & fixes promised for, still have not been fixed yet TW dungeons were made “harder” because a few (likely the elitist of the elites) complained they were too easy. Meanwhile, portals remained broken, quests/quest chains remain broken, old content remains broken, the list goes on and on.
And they ARE a fully-staffed AAA game company. Sadly, many of their decisions bring the “competent” part into question though.

I think the oldest bug I still see today is the one where you log in and your guild tabard reverts to the standard one.
Well it’s unrealistic because for every issue they have tried to fix they just creat even more. There are new issues for ever patch or updates. There has been more down time than since the early days of the game.
Blizzard use to have a “We’ll release it when it’s ready” policy. They had reputation for producing high-quality games, quality over speed. However, now it’s “release and patch later” to make a quick profit before players get tired and leave.
Players are just tired of waiting on solutions and hearing crickets from Blizzard about when it will be fixed. It takes time but it also takes less time to just reassure your players that they are working on it.

There are bugs still in the game even since DF. I have been working on SL rep and there is a WQ in Maldraxxus that has been bugged since DF, have to kill 15 mobs and then you plant a flag that spawns another mob you need to kill but sometimes it doesn’t spawn.
There are still bugs present since TWW launch too. There is an invisible chest in Hallowfall you need a torch to reveal, however when you open it closes and no loot drops, but it still stays there. Don’t even get me started on Dawnbreaker

I hear ya, I can only imagine how stressed the devs are working on trying to fix all of this.
