Everyone should have a path to progress to max ilvl gear, EVERYONE!

Sure, available corruptions is a key-factor along with essences and trinkets; simply “boosting” the ilvl isn’t going to be adequate.

Most of my claims come from when I was running Ny’alotha on my Ret Paladin

I mean the higher player base wants LFR gone because to us it makes no sense. but the point of the 4 raiding tiers is to try and get people of all skills to try the content. Raiding has story elements that people should see.

End of the day, this game is about playing with people. People hate LFG because it’s ruined the social aspect that searching for a group to do content with brought. The best part of this game is being able to stuff with a group of people. To ask to get gear or rewards for not playing the game is baffling.

I wonder if they are so available and easy why only tiny minority actually bothers with those, not like they are systematically flawed the the point the vast majority of players avoid mythic raids and rated arenas like a plague

So let’s disable raid gear outside of raid, easy solution, you get your gear to progress raids and nobody else has to deal with mythic ilvl people running around in the open world in warmode : )

Based on your belief that gear is only about content progress then let’s disable gear outside of those forms of content, ez

You might want to check armory first before making such false statements : p

If you can read, he didn’t say they were easy. But, thanks for admitting it’s what you’re really after.

Yeah, you’re still not doing it right. Are you comparing the same gear, corruptions, enchants, etc between your 443 ilvl and your 468 ilvl? I doubt you are, and that’s still 41.2k vs 68.6k. Which is 66.5%.

You have to run raidbots and take your pally and reduce all gear by 25 ilvls with the same essences, corruptions, gems, and enchants and run the sim. Then you’ll see how it’s not like you state.

the scaling in pvp, again, is made where the lower the gear the better you are (ignoring skill). If a 450 rogue went against a 480 rogue of equal skill. the 450 rogue will win because of the scaling.

Please don’t put words in my mouth. I’m fine with LFR. Let those who don’t want to have to be in coordinated raid groups still be able to experience the raid content at some level.

i like that you ignored the rest of what i said about that. And, sorry for generalizing but the people i talk with don’t like LFR. We feel like it doesn’t teach people anything because they can sit and afk and get rewarded.

It is pretty clear you just watched a video showing someone abuse warmode scaling, you clearly dont understand how scaling when you are making such broadly false statements

Because I didn’t care about the rest of your post. And now that I’ve looked at it… yeah, I don’t care nor necessarily agree with it either.

Player A is a veteran, well-geared level 120 character and player B has just hit 120 and barely has any gear.

Player A casts Fireball on player B and sees 10000 damage on his screen and combat log.

Player B sees on his screen and combat log that this Fireball has actually dealt 8000 damage to him.

Player B health is reduced by 8000 and we can deduce the scaling coefficient of player A against player B is SA/B = 8000 / 10000 = 0.8

Scaling coefficient of player B against player A will be the inverse: SB/A = 1 / SA/B = 1 / 0.8 = 1.25

Player B then retaliates with his own Fireball which only deals 6000 damage. Player A will actually take 7500 damage: 6000 x SB/A = 6000 x 1.25 = 7500

wowpedia- it’s an actual thing implemented in the game by the devs.

No, why would I? I don’t even have access to some trinkets or essences that are available at the higher tier content.

Just lowering your ilvl doesn’t reveal the state of the issue; I instead provided to you an actual progression of datum from the real-world.

Hell, I was nice and omitted the same ilvl sims (aside from my final few) to show you how much of an issue essences and corruptions are in terms of output.

They seem to be doing just fine, and besides which if the lions share of players don’t bother entering them then they don’t need the gear from them.

I believe the gear is a reward for content progression which comes from the combination of knowledge, preperation and ability, and how they use it in other lower levels of content is up to the player who has it.

Besides which, I don’t see any reason why High end players should have to be penalized to placate casuals.

My bad. You’re whining through me off.

“but the point of the 4 raiding tiers is to try and get people of all skills to try the content.”

you copied what i said in my post, but sorry you are trying get mad of that. what ever dude.

Wow… you stated that the dps is doubled between 450 and 475. This implies it’s the scaling on throughput in ilvl that causes this disparity.

I proved that statement is flat out incorrect. Essences have nothing to with ilvl beyond your neck, and that really doesn’t count here or is a part of the narrative.

Raidbots is a powerful tool and if you learned how to use it then you could understand and make proper assessment.

But your ability to analyze isn’t very good in this case.

Huh? I don’t understand what you’re saying…

I didn’t copy anything at all. I originally replied to you because you stated something that included players like me in your post.

Don’t do that.

You don’t speak for me and you certainly didn’t speak for me about something I agree with what you stated.

so sorry that you can’t read.

but you said, what i typed you don’t agree with. you took something i said out of context and got butt hurt over it.

When was it easier to obtain end game gear than it was in BFA?

I don’t think you know what you’re talking about lmao

Out of context? I didn’t take it out of context, but who are these people who hate LFG that you speak of?

You make these open statements so I don’t agree with the way you express them.

Fair enough on some of your points, but it’s wrapped in so much of the hidden “we” that I can’t get behind you on your points, nor do I want you.
