Everyone Just stay on the original Hardcore Realms

That’s not a copy. That’s a transfer. A copy would imply the character remains in both versions.

Fresh Wrath Pre-patch was incredibly popular for the duration that it felt fresh, and then it was incredibly barren.

Exactly what I’m saying. Thanks, now we’re two … only I think Blizz wants more people to go to the Anniversary Fresh servers, then they made an alongside HC to pull more aboard.
I think we’re not getting the opportunity to transfer to the Whitemane cluster, only to the new Anniversary PvE realm.

Fresh servers aren’t going to draw many new people to HC, because there are other fresh servers. HC is a niche. We got a lot of the freshers on the initial launch, because it was the only option for a fresh server, most of them didn’t like it, and honestly its not something that helps retain players and could really hurt it, as people how have the wrong aptitude for HC get upset when they die and feel its no fair and are often overly tied to their characters.

My opinion is not for you. If you don’t like, just get out.

they act like they are the only people that matter. yet I guarantee more than not will go Fresh and you will be able to tell by the queue times

Correct! There is no “i” in “we”.

it be too hard with no world buff :frowning:

That’s not how it went. There’s literally a recording of the meeting you don’t have to make things up and lie.

He wanted to go to the fresh servers originally, because the information he had was only that it was fresh classic, not that it was fresh classic that was fully phase progressive and that hardcore was included in that despite not being progressive the first time. HC not being progressive was the only reason he wanted to stay on DP.

His points were:
Throttling people for no reason in hardcore is going to defeat the entire point of hardcore because it will make it too easy to outgear and outpot everything. People will get bored from being forced to run the same content for 2-4 months, without the fear of death or anything like that, and that they will quit and the guild will die even faster than it did the first time (with them all raid logging AQ and Naxx and most non wow mains quitting, some before they even hit 60)

His solution was guild self found where they interacted with each other and literally no one else the entire time they played to give the challenge that new servers would inevitably lack from getting to a point where you are overprepared for every future phase. This would make the bulk of the experience, leveling, actually challenging again.

Part of his team agreed with him, but more people than not didn’t. So his final thought was “Okay, we will play on the fresh realm and hope we can change the progression path of HC fresh”

This is largely so they can have all the content phases open so when they feel ready, they can progress and not wait till them and 3 of their alts (for the sweats) end up fully mc bis heading into bwl just to farm that for 3 months.

I only remember the SSF folks really wanting a separate hc server or for it to transition to tbc, but wasn’t aware hc wanted fresh as well. The only benefit I can think of is people getting to experience some of the phased content for bragging rights and not having world buffs be a thing right out the gate, plus getting characters to 60 first.

I guess similar to how Diablo 2 does ladder resets, which are always fun to jump on…but this is an MMO so not sure it really hits the same.

I think it might be worth them merging the hc servers and then make one that goes to TBC, despite their claim of randomness not fitting the playstyle. The players wanted it, why not just do it and let the players decide lol.

Not 100% sure but just some of my thoughts on it. It does suck to see the 2 era hc servers feeling a bit of a splinter now though. Doesn’t seem healthy for the classic hc era servers, but just my opinion. Maybe I’m missing something.

I think you’re missing the real reason why we have a new, phased HC server

The idea in my opinion is not half bad, but needs to be extended to TBC as well. There’s nothing gained for most of us in leaving our old level 30 - 40 50 characters behind to go to the new, anniversary HC if we’re not in for realm first or some other bragging rights
