As long as HC does not progress into TBC there’s absolutely no reason to go to the fresh HC server.

Why are you guys mad, just stay on your realms if you don’t care.

Go get lives, some of us want and desire fresh server starts, running around with hundreds of other people until it withers out is the funnest part, who are you to be mad and take that away from those of us that do want this?

They arent old realms, its legit the same content but you’re FORCED into a time-gated setting AND the ‘new’ hc realms dont even go to tbc. There is zero point.

enjoy being on a dead server after the streamers leave, do you think their gonna play the game for longer than 3 months - 6 months?

I mean, you’re server is about to start dying the moment these new servers come out - if they don’t merge you.
I wish everyone could play what they want to play and never lose that community, but for me I have played for so long I just make new friends and join new communities each time.
Just like how your server started and slowly dwindled till how it is today so too will the Fresh.

yes but it will stop when blizzard stops creating new servers, Im aware there is a high chance of the server dying, also if you want to keep a server alive why doesnt Soda just roll fresh on the servers that exists?

I think I know what you mean, but I believe no matter what version people prefer eventually people rush to the forums to ask for Fresh or threaten to unsub and play Private Servers etc.

And Ultimately the Shareholders and CEOs wanna line their pockets and that means they need numbers to pump their money up and one of the ways they do that is through Hype and through Fresh servers.

It’s a wild cycle but its actually the reason why we have so many options today, and that’s the same reason we still have a strong Blizzard that continues to make games. We pay for them to do this.

yeah regardless i wont stop playing and even probably end up on the new servers eventually I just hope something will be permanent. Also it would be nice if blizzard actually polled the community and asked us what we wanted

I agree totally, I seriously want an option for both TBC and Wotlk where my capped toons can sit, and I can establish myself within that community who also loves THOSE iterations of the game as I do for years. Thats not hype for me, that’s home. Everyone should have theirs in 2025… but alas…

We will have to see how it plays out, obviously a bunch will go but there is a lot thats going to hurt the a fresh HC servers viability

  • Players have already tried HC, it was fun once of many of them, but most people really don’t like HC, losing their characters is to much
  • There are other fresh servers, so players wont have to just put up with HC because they want fresh, the can go to the normal PvE or PvP server
  • Who really wants to be on a realm with a streamer and their fanboys
  • Finally, lack of a large population, and where many of the people in HC already like the servers and communities, and there simply isn’t enough to move, and unlike other servers it doesn’t have the stagnancy problem them most have

I dont know why they don’t just merge the servers and let them live out their days in peace.

If they offer a new HC server it needed to be so different so as to not fracture the existing communities so much but offer a new experience, this is why I had thought it would be either a TBC HC Fresh or Progression to Wrath kinda thing… there’s plenty of Skull Rock/Defias players that would stay for Vanilla content only…
