Finally broke the wall of 12s with my first 12 timed, hopefully, that will open the door for more invites. But wanted to let you know since you took your time to give advice
This isn’t logic. This is reality. I’m not arguing logic. I’m trying to shine a light on the thought process of people and why they take or do not take players. I have no issues with taking someone to a key that is +1 from what they have previously, I actually prefer that. Most people do not do this.
Btw, I think you were the guy who said “people will be doing 15’s easily” and you said that before the nerf. How’s that working out?
Solid logic!
One last edit, I’ve played with you before in previous expansions and it was a good time so no actual flame I’m just breaking some chops!
That’s how you get started my man it’s a hard road but once you get rolling it will improve, trust!
i was, but i don’t know if I said “easily”. certainly possible and it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been wrong! at the time we had that conversation, i think the top key in the world was a 14. it’s now up to 18, i believe.
no worries at all! I don’t take much here very seriously, and certainly not just somebody pointing out something i said that was totally wrong. let’s game again sometime!
The biggest difference on +12s isn’t the scaling increase, but losing the 40% uptime on the affix buff. That’s an instant 2-4 minutes deducted from the timer.
Yeah, but in a way it’s nice not having to worry about any overlaps and is easier in that sense.
To be honest the original problem for this thread is almost none existent anymore as people starting to time 12s now more and more because of the extended timers and more gear. But what really shocked me is that there are still people that climbed there way up to 12 without basic understanding of the boss mechanics of the dungeons. Asking questions like „what killed us?“ when the reason is so obvious.
It’s totally possible that they’ve never seen the mechanic because their group never failed it before. E.G the tank dispel in Stonevault first boss is something you never would have noticed unless your healer didn’t dispel it.
I know a +8 isn’t a high key, but I had a ret Paladin in the group have zero idea how clearing his debuff worked on the last boss of SV.
He just died, got rezzed, eventually died again, got rezzed, etc.
And since we timed it shows on his score he successfully cleared it lol.
I mentioned it after, but who knows if he understood

Part of this is just how keys work. It’s totally possible to progress from +2s to +8s while only doing each dungeon once or twice. You’d see less of this if you had to time each dungeon in the pool before moving up to the next level.
