Depends on who you’re doing stuff with. I know you said pug, but the guild I am in has taken me to pretty much every raid except MC or BWL and that’s due to my time constraints.
Are people still stressing over a nearly 20 year old game?

But it was mostly dirt by the time this guy got around to it. They nipped towers in the bud quite fast.

Again, if my druid were to go from 1-13 in this new system, it would take him longer.
Not w/ the current population.
I just cant wrap my mind around it. Like don’t get me wrong, you don’t want people going to a raid in greens and just unprepared, but lord… Onyxia and other raids are as simple as it gets x.x; Save a few fights.
You need to be more specific. I don’t play on a free transfer destination.
Era clusters are perma Phase 6 and a couple of clusters have loads of people pushing through from level 1 to end game. Undoubtedly some will get involved in pvp and go for the gear but I cant see it causing wholesale changes to the classic experience.

Go read the post on the new PvP changes. Blizzard makes it very clear why they’re making the changes.
That’s their design intention. The reality is that it actually makes ranking ‘harder’ (more time-consuming) on small realms (large realms could do it too, if people wanted to be bros!) where the community bands together and sets standing 1 positions at 40k.
“Banding together” doesn’t make it easier for those not in your group.
You’re being benign at this point.
It made it easier for everyone on our cluster. Teamwork is amazing!
Your cluster does not represent the larger population.
Try to think outside of your bubble. The changes will make it easier for most.
Ranking mafia is a major part of the pvp changes though.
All you are admitting is an inability to cooperate with your own community. That’s not my problem. Further, it doesn’t change my point: ranking in my cluster is being made ‘harder’ with this change. I’m not complaining. I’m simply stating fact.

For the larger population, yes. Why else are the changes being made?
People that are worried about “competing” with ZOMG T3 OUT THE BUTT geared players are going to look for shortcuts. If they believe that ranking will suddenly become easier, more power to them but they just might be wrong. It’s still going to mean a time investment just as raiding can be (even if carried you might need a few trips to get what you want). But ultimately this game shouldn’t be a clock in/clock out affair nor should one be concerned with anything other than what is fun for you. If it’s not fun for pete’s sake find something that is.

Yes but they too have choices.
They might not be the preferred options (transfer or reroll elsewhere) but that nonsense isn’t the norm.

I’m sure there have been plenty of people burned by such a system.
Not to mention that only X amount of people can be any of those top ranks on any week.
I will be getting two 60s to R14 with the new changes. Hitting the 500k cap or w/e it is will be much easier then what was called for the first time around.
