Any time I post I am prepared to be challenged.
Also, I get wordy because I often try to tell people I understand what they are saying but hereâs what I think. I rarely get that courtesy back but do get a lot of snark so then I sometimes reply in the same way back.
Iâm not the only one whoâs noticed this on these forums. They are not friendly at all.
Youâre wrong.
The blue post itself was all about making PVP anti-community and into a personal rep grind. There were statements hating on the PVP community but zero on how this change would make that part better. Thatâs because Blizzard doesnât care about that at all and their past proves that they do not.
If you find one thing in that blue post that proves that the devs actually care at all about the community and not only about the solo experience player please show me. Outside of their unspoken not removing premading.
This is why when I look at it objectively, beyond that blue post, I donât get more frustrated.
I know that some PVP community can still exist although Iâm not sure how many people I can get to know now or how many I can help now. Weâll see how that plays out hopefully in the next season when I really play again.
Thatâs my exact problem with it. The devs constant and ongoing desire to remove community from WoW and cater to those who would be best served by a single-player RPG or even Retail where the community has already been almost entirely ripped out, all while giving a middle finger to those who should be the target audience (even though people have accepted this one so Iâll concede that, the next time they go off and try to take the community out of Era maybe it wonât be as well received).
I donât know if there would have been the player base for this in Era. They could have easily copied that part of the Wrath code matching premades first though.
This is silly. It still takes a monumental amount of PvP to reach R14 regardless of the changes (8 weeks probably of hitting 500k every week which isnât beans for the average player). Thereâs no reality in which that will ever become the âexpected baselineâ for pug raids in MC or whatever. Just ridiculous hyperbole.
Yes but now itâs guaranteed.
First of all, I do appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
Right, I understand that which is why I havenât expressed more annoyance about the change.
If Blizzard removed premading Iâd be done and looking for âother optionsâ.
Iâm also very annoyed about how Wrath Classic has played out and even more annoyed about how those Wrath servers are because I stay with things long term and that was so bad I had to quit.
I also donât trust that this change wonât have âunintended consequencesâ and I also donât know if Iâll get to know more than a small handful of people now outside of whatever guild and they might even be in that guild.
90% of this game for me is all about server community and guild community and PVP community and after that helping people achieve their goals. Take those away and IMO itâs just boring.
Yes, Iâve been in these threads for years and Iâm aware of the bad and just would like to see more people acknowledge the good as well. However, thatâs like asking for the weather to change and expecting it to happen. It wonât.
Iâve never once said bad things havenât happened. People love to tell me what my experience has been and then attack my real life though.
PUG raids in MC definitely not, that would be silly.
If there is another SoM I fully expect this to be required of core raiders in hardcore guilds but that isnât new. Several of those are already that way only now they can do it faster.
Guaranteed(*)
Iâm not sold on that yet. My prediction is the three camps we have now stays about the same. Rankers will rank, casual PVP enjoyers will progress at a slower pace but get there some day, people who do not like BGs or PVP will not grind it out for the gear or will not last. The second group seems to me like the ones who benefit from this the most.
It is a lot less work to just hit MC/Ony/ZG/AQ20 and BWL for 8-12 weeks every lockout. As already mentioned you need a bunch of pieces from those places anyway and some you will never replace not even in Naxx.
Itâs only guaranteed if you can ever spend 25 hours a week pvping, assuming youâre in a 20k per hour premade
Neither of those are needed to get into a raid but the obvious option would be to make them.
And you keep saying this but itâs entirely false.
Decay is still apart of the new honor system the only difference is now you wonât lose rank but itâs still entirely possible to make 0 progress at all.
it wont matter if they dont fix the pvp gear or allow people to casually hit r14 world will die out around aq again and we will be right back here 6 months later screaming for fresh when they could fix the gd issue to start with.
Real pvp gods donât talk this way.
Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?
Pvp gear accessibility has nothing to do with the game dying out around aq. I donât know why youâre obsessed with this one issue and think itâs the root of every problem in the game.
It dies out cause all the fun is early generations of ranking. He doesnât know wtf heâs talking about. The real reason is pvp just gets dull after the main herds have finished. Sure youâll get some good games in p5-6, but itâs consistency levels put around p4
Literally has nothing to do with gear. Pvp is not the same when people are in full nax gear this is true and makes it less fun bc the meta change is so drastic.
His suggestion of buffing pvp gear doesnât fix that problem. What he wants is naxx equivalent gear pieces Which will have him still seeing pvp die at the same spot
From what I can tell they think the open world / server dies out because pve raiders begin to outclass pvp gear. Which is I believe a silly take if only because I believe the population of classic wow that hates pve with a passion and only wants to pvp is minuscule in the scheme of things.
Youre still typing after getting bodied endlessly when it comes to pvp?
Oof
No itâs not ya dingus, you can still decay for not hitting the honor milestones.
I ran pvp back in the day and its no difference here.
Only difference is these kids do their pvping on the forums then pat them selves on the backs with their âgotchasââŚ
To many pve nubs in here
Any askers?
English classes would help I believe.
