Perhaps for now. Time will tell how long it lasts.
Hopefully long. It is harder for scripters now to get them back on the path, up in the air and back to mining and dodging said bombs.
It would be vastly easier for them to go gather nodes that aren’t that, and some even disappear now as bait. Actual players will mone more than bots in the long run.
A bot that is scripted to ignore EZ-mine nodes and is mining all day long is definitely going to out-mine most actual players even if they are hitting and overloading every ez-mine they see.
You can believe that.
It’s simple math. If the bot runs 24 hours per day mining nodes there is no way I’m keeping up with it no matter how many ez-mines it ignores.
If you so think. This isn’t supposed to get rid of bots but slow them down.
It may be doing that but there are already proven examples of it deterring actual players just as much.
You can read the people saying they just ignore them every time the subject comes up. In my estimation this comes out in the wash as a non-factor. Which is what almost all of their “bot fighting” measures come out to be.
That is on them then. Sucks to be the ones who can’t do it but it rather they not do them and have it break bots pathing.
I see them as fun now so I love the ez-mine nodes. Will I or will I not get that fourth tap in before I go boom?

I actually like them. I usually only need to step out of 2 circles before finishing.
There’s nothing wrong with them. Spec into them in the profession tree and enjoy the benefits.

I have concluded they’re specifically for engineers. No other reason to touch them. Potentially spending 30 seconds mining to get 1 ore?
It might just be that my character tends to enjoy being blown up but I like the EZ-Mine nodes.
Someone did try to blow me up with an overcharge on one but I finished my mining before it blew up and they almost died.
I hate them and will not mine them. You guys can have them, they are not worth it to me. More for you!
I agree that they’re bad. I’m not fundamentally opposed to having special nodes that harm you in some way but they take several times longer to mine yet don’t offer better rewards other than some rusted scrap if you’re an engineer
