Everyone cried about MM hunter now the jokes on you

I don’t really get massive nerf hitting BM damage right now before the .05 patch. BM is good in Raid Single Target but really trash in Mythic+ PvE. Damage wise in PvP 3s I really never see myself topping the charts against Aff or Feral or Fury Warrs or most classes honestly. Compared to MM BM damage is pretty low.

I can see why they nerfed a bit of survivability, we are absolutely pretty tanky when it comes to being able to kite while still doing damage with continuous movement but to nerf damage that wasn’t really a problem in PvP seems like an oversight.

BM dmg is pretty wild in arena in ST tbh.

I’m not really seeing it, typically I’m wayyyy below Feral or Frost in Shuffles. The one good thing I have going for me from what I see is because I’m so tanky they literally leave me alone for the most part and I can just use my Roar of Sac on CD on the kill target (my teammate) and Freedom everyone else. Also it’s much easier to trap when they literally ignore me.

I’d rather see 10 BMs instead of MM or surv. 99% of BM hunters will never free their pets. You can kill their pets, cc their pets, and what not. MM just does free casting destro levels of damage, while not being as tanky, but more consistent.

Surv… it isn’t that good. I just don’t like fighting surv, because they are better than 90% of BM hunters and I have to try a lot harder.

I will say I’ve seen some Survival in Shuffle randomly one shot people. It seems much less predictable than MM. But yes MM damage is absurd in PvP, the only thing they have going for them is if you just train them down with a melee cleave they will die.

EDIT: Also Survival have a much more guaranteed Trap with Harpoon trapping than BM. BM relies on Intims or free trapping most of the time.

Most Survival I see don’t stun/trap, they just Harpoon root trap. Then save the stun for after the trap. Harpoon matches the Cooldown of Frost Trap, Intim doesn’t.

Intim trap 1 go, binding shot trap the next or coordinate with your partners so u can binding shot dps while they stun for your trap every second go. It’s super easy.

That’d make sense because those both spray irrelevant pad damage everywhere.

I’m sorry but Feral is not pad damage lmao, getting hit for 1.2 mil Ferocious Bite then another 1mil back to back feels like much more than pad damage.

Yea I typically use Binding on the DPS when they are clumped. I could use it inbetween to trap when Intim is on CD. But like I said though Surv has the Harpoon guarenteed root into Trap so you technically never have to use Binding to trap a healer (Unless they get an insanely fast fear or CC off on you as soon as you harpoon then).

Also yeah cleave dmg that isn’t forcing any significant amount of attention or opening up opportunities can be considered pad depending on context

No I’m saying my ST damage as a BM Hunter literally is nothing compared to Feral ST damage…although I could say Frost def does a good bit of AoE pad damage. But Feral is just absolutely broken right now. With Bleed dots ticking close to 300k and Ferocious bites hitting for 1+ mil I don’t see how any DPS other than an Aff lock keeps up with them.

The spec similar to fury is basically doomed to have some of the highest sustained single target pressure.

Yea one thing BM has going for it is def sustained damage, but then again it’s had that ever since they revamped the tree in DF (Although in DF they also gave BM insane burst with Call of the Wild). It’s more rounded out sustained damage now, not really bursty at all.

Not to mention if there is a frost mage on the enemy team with their AoE roots and slows on my pets I feel like my pet uptime is trash even when using Master’s call on CD. I guess my point is that the 26% damage nerf to pets overall really wasn’t warranted. Although it seems to stem from a Mythic Raiding perspective…kind of trash that it bled directly into PvP.

Also absolutely out of touch by Blizzard to think this was the problem with Feral LOL:

  • Ferocious Wound (PvP Talent) now decreases maximum health by 3% per stack (was 5%).
