Everyone cried about MM hunter now the jokes on you

dont worry feral is so squishy i trinket coils to do more dam.

We die fighting

You can ROS. Also, most classes can’t defensive while stunned and the ones that can are usually weaker.

Wha? Yes. Most classes have 2 minute cds on their damage, so you can trade your trinket +defensive for their offensive cd and stun. Due to hunter range+ mobility you can regularly pre-wall the damage as well.

This is pvp 101. If big dam, use trinket + defensive.

They don’t have cds anymore so your healer and team can keep you alive?

This is an insane take. You don’t need to leave a stun at full hp, if it keeps you alive when you otherwise would’ve died, it did a TON. Also it hardcounters classes like ele/firemage.

Hunters and every class will and SHOULD DIE if stunned vs enemy cds. How is hunter dying in a stun vs cds different from any other class?

Druids, paladins, warlock, dk, and sp can use defensives while stunned. Barkskin and pally wall are extremely weak, warlock wall is a 3 minute cd, and disperse prevents any other actions taken on an extremely immobile punching bag class. Dk ibf is a relatively weaker wall with a 2 minute cd.

Warrior, dh, shaman, mage, rogue, evoker, monk, hunter (i.e. the majority of classes) can’t use defensives while stunned. That’s the norm.

So when MM is OP and there’s not a lot of people playing BM and Survival, you didn’t see a ton of other MM hunters in a game mode designed to attempt to keep spec stacking to a minimum?

Damn that’s crazy, what a good metric to see if someone is OP or not. Definitely a great litmus test to check what’s strong overall by looking at your immediate anecdotal solo shuffle games as an OP spec yourself.

Seems the hunter under responded. If they’re blowing EVERY offensive cd this is definitely a trinket+turtle angle. If you’re unable to do that effectively then it’s a gitgud angle.

Not the survival hunter with melee woven in, you’re the ultimate victim because you have to cast a 1.3s aimed shot from 50 yards away before moving behind a pillar with double rapid fires practically deleting someone.

So true!

Figured out why you may be dying in the opener.

ROS is huge. Crit is a big part of people damage dangerously spiking and if I don’t have to eat a juiced up crit hit from any of the OP classes I’m more than likely going to survive a trade than just sitting there eating 1.4m+ in a swing because “oh woe is me, ROS means nothing” lmao

Unplayable actually. It’s why we’re seeing lifelong mains of other classes switching to it in the AWC. They’re just trying to show blizzard how bad it is so that they can maybe buff it a little. Y’know, aimed shot while moving or something.

thats because you are a hunter… you are much less likely to see other hunters, especially of your spec…

Per the Hunter discord, it’s a 9% nerf on single target sim damage before the .05 update happens. However it’s a slight buff in damage any time you have to swap between targets, because of the trade between base kc dam and the dot buff. You probably won’t notice much difference. After .05, bm does more damage in all situations until/unless they nerf black arrow more.

Marks will also be different after .05 with less rapidfire and Aimed damage but way more kill shot damage via black arrow. There’s also a mechanical difference in how you can play marks on ptr because you can now just run and fish for procs in situations where you currently don’t have anything to do besides plant and cast an aimed shot. Trueshot is also like 80x more powerful because you’re auto proccing and sending huge black arrows off global just doing your regular burst rotation.

I think this situation is why they haven’t messed with Aimed and rf damage at all. I think the defensive nerfs are what it needed and I think it will still be an S tier ladder and solo shuffle spec after them. The biggest bummer is the loss of duration in survival tactics, imo. Just because it used to be 1.5 seconds back when it removed magic effects and the moving it to 3 seconds was the trade for it no longer removing magic. But that’s also not apples to apples bc Hunter didn’t have double wall or the class talent in df.

Don’t forget you can also run a defensive pet and use Fortitude of the Bear (BM Trinket) while in a stun. Unironically this is the first time since SL that I have not ran a tank pet a single time because it’s just not needed with how tanky I feel lol.

This actually feels very minor to me, but I still 90% of the time use it to pretty much immune the dmg of a big hit in the air (chaos bolt).

Yeah all things considered, very reasonable changes. If I of all people can play marks Hunter and feel like I should be dying more, it’s probably too tanky.

Hi Covlol, are you playing shuffle this season ?

No, i have no reason to play that awful bracket. Blitz does exactly what I wanted shuffle to do, be something to do when ppl aren’t online to play with. It’s also much more fun.

I enjoy solo shuffle, but i reached my limit there. I dont understand much about inflation, but everytime i get 1900 i struggle. With your experience on it, can you tell me if its possible for me to get 2100 there by the end of the season ? Its my main goal as it ws last expansion

Probably, people have different ideas about what is causing the bottle neck, I just think that the population isn’t q’n shuffle right now and that’s why it feels so deflated.

Don’t you lose pet freedom if you do that, though? I actually have one that I run into wizards or if I know I’m not gonna be the target and I run a direhorn for fort + ms.

you also lose mortal strike, but guess genius didn’t think about that XD

You don’t. Direhorn has bear + mortal wounds I even said that in my post which hasn’t been edited.

Why would you say something so confidently wrong as a jab?

Yes you do, with how high mobility has been it has been a good trade off for me, other then when i need to freedom my healer out of root/beam.

Oh is that right? I must be doing something insanely incorrect then.

Ooh, lizards do it too! I didn’t know that. I know petopia has a whole codex on what pets have what abilities.

I just use the direhorn because I like rocking the battlebeast+horridon combo.

Never played hunter, but I say YAY!!! Moar pets tha better!!!

Kill Command buff won’t offset the Basilisk Collar damage nerf. I believe with 5 stacks (5 DoTs on target) Basilisk Collar will buff pet damage overall by 50% _(10% pet damage per DoT). This is done using the BM Bleed Build which most BM Hunters are running since the other builds damage is trash.

So now lets calculate what they gave us with the nerf. So with the nerf Basilisk Collar will now provide 20% Pet damage. So losing overall 30% damage from all pets…which is…pretty insane lol.

Now lets add the 4% they gave us…so now we are losing 26% overall pet damage. And Kill Command being buffed by 18% is not going to offset a 26% overall damage nerf.

Ah gotcha.
