Hello. I saw on reddit that protesting works in premade LFG. But I did not know it would silence my account. How long does it take for appeal to take? In-game says 6 days. But on website says 24hrs. What’s the chances of me getting unsilenced?
Unfortunately, this is your first mistake. Reddit is a cesspool that exceeds even GD. Nothing from there should be trusted.
If people advertising inappropriately isn’t allowed, why would “protesting”? To incite change, that’s what the forums are for - appropriate forums for the change you’re looking to make. I’m assuming, based of a quick search, that you’re protesting in hopes of change to the M+ system? Post here instead.
As for the turnaround, I’ve not seen a SFA post ETAs here of late, but at peak it was no longer than a week. It’s likely to be less than that now - but I see our friendly neighborhood Centaur posting. Hopefully he can give you that ETA. Good luck.

I’m not sure where anyone would have that impression. Protests in-game, especially through channels that are meant to help folks find groups, is just spam.
If you have feedback about the game, that can be provided either by posting on our Community forums (Mage forums for feedback/suggestions about the Mage class), or by using the Submit the Suggestion option in-game through the Support menu.
For appeals the queues are around 6 days, the time is based on the oldest ticket in queue. Social penalties tend to be a bit quicker, but I can’t say for certain. I don’t know how likely it is for that to be overturned, Regretfulx, that does fall under spam. Good luck.

It happens to the best of us. Luckily this appears to just be a silence, which usually means it is your first warning. It shouldn’t have any lasting impact once the silence is over. That first penalty should be a week.

You are only silenced. You are still able to run any raid, M+, PvP, Arena, or any game feature you want.

No, I can not use the premade LFG tool at all. Unless it is a random heroic. So no raids or mythic+.
You should be able to form/join groups, just not using in-game lfg. There are discord communities and I believe you can message your bnet friends since it is a wow penalty, not your whole bnet

Yes, I am able to form or join groups that are my friends. But not randoms. However, they are not able to make groups because I am in it.
It says in the article I am able to use guild chat. But I am unable to.
My advice would be to have them list, fill the other slots, then invite you and delist.
This sounds to be a bug, should report it in-game or on the forums so it gets to the right folks

Sadly, because the shorter sanctions weren’t really doing anything to curb bad behavior, they had to go bigger to make things hurt to really drive in what isn’t appropriate behavior. Since this is your first offense, I’ll warn you that from here on it will only double with the social sanctions. And these black marks don’t fall off - unless your appeal works and the sanction is overturned.
I’m sorry that you were misled by questionable folks, but there is a lesson to be learned here. Again, I do sincerely wish you well and good luck once the sanction has run it’s course or it’s overturned.
