Please, oh please. It is a nightmare trying to grind them out for my alts. I love alts, but getting on to one and seeing you only have 2 essences when you main has almost all of them is very disheartening.

I don’t need them to be Account Wide. I just want them to be available by doing the current content. Sell them for Mementos or Coalescing Visions from a new Vendor.
I don’t mind putting the time in on my Alts but I’d prefer that time not be spent in old content like Naj or Mech or EP.
Bellular had a great point in his last Video where he said the current system is equivalent to us having to kill Gul’dan in the Nighthold in order to unlock your last Gold Trait for your Artifact once Antorus opened.
It’s one thing to run old content for Cosmetic rewards like we did for Balance of Power in Legion but having to run old content for critical power upgrades is bad.

If you had started in july last year, imagine how many alts would have them now!
Repeating the best suggestion I’ve seen for this:
Essences should be account-wide, at 1 level less than your highest. So if you have Rank 3 of an essence on any character, your other (eligible) characters have it at Rank 2. If you have a Rank 4 essence, your characters have it at Rank 3.
This would also give the Rank 4 essences a functional purpose, not just cosmetic. Which would be nice.

Which ones are you having trouble with? You can get rank 2 of most within a day. Also it doesn’t look like you even really do content that would require you to have essences. Seems like meaningless complaining to me.
Blood of the Enemy is the main source of complaints.
BotE is the easiest and one that is actually not time gated.
I got it Rank 3 in 5 days on my Warrior.
Thats the issue. all the essences are somewhat worthless until rank 3.
Codenced life fore and vision of perfection are great examples.
Blood of the enemy is another 30 k grind for rank 3.
rank 2 isnt that bad but rank 3 is when its actually noticeable dps increase.
all of these power jumps are like. 10k dps difference.
Ah I haven’t really mained a class where that is a required essence. From all the theorycrafting I’ve done it seems to be really good for outlaw rogues but can be substituted on almost any other class.
Maybe I’m wrong, not sure.
Did you calculate how many bgs you had to enter? win/lose ratio in those 5 days?
Uh ? Some essences are barely a gain Rank 3 vs Rank 2. Rank 2 is already quite powerful.

This has been the most alt unfriendly xpac to date. BfA has just been terrible unless you only want to play one character the entire time.

It’s one of the best - if not THE best - for Retribution Paladin, which is what you’re posting on, so…
