The grind from 1-3 could feel like a never ending grind no one wants to do.
Same here. On my Main. I just don’t want to do it again on Alts.

BotE rank 2 vs Rank 3 isn’t that huge.
47,436 DPS vs 47,512 DPS for my main as a minor, Rank 2 vs Rank 3.
I mean, if you care about 100 extra DPS.
I wouldn’t have gotten the essence then because I wouldn’t have PvPed.
Where are you getting this from? I only do 5man content and If I look on raider .io @ the 10 best dps paladins 0 of them use blood of the enemy, and if you want to look at every single run they’ve ever completed most of them are using vision of perfection.
It’s not a required essence at all.
I like the compromise that if not account wide, make essences already earned on one character purchasable via vendor.

Well its kinda required to get the BiS essence if youre doing anything competive. or even doing casual heroic / low mythic plus
Most of us that work and have families do not simply have the time. It will in no way break the game or hurt anyone in the process. Its the same as the flying requirements for a casual player its just insane

Visions of Perfection is from Mechagon and could take some time to get Rank 3 but it is still a strong choice. Blood of the Enemy is another strong essence but it does require a fair amount of PvP to get Rank 3. Don't feel like you have to farm it out.

Why would you run BotE as a major ? Focused Azerite Beam and in EP, Condensed Life force were goto for AoE and ST as majors by far.

In fact, simming my main, BotE major is a big DPS loss.
I tanked keys on my Warrior, 10s and over, with 2 essences, 1 of which was a Rank 2, the other a Rank 1.
It’s an alt.
I probably am not going to use my main for this new raid. I am wanting and my guild is needing a different class more. This leaves me less than a week to try and farm all the essences I need on my alt. This is going to not only be tedious and time consuming, but virtually impossible because some of them can take a while to farm out. This leaves me and my guild out a player for the next raid until i can catch up.
