Sorry, to break it to you they didn’t accomplish this.
The server transfer thing was whatever, it existed in vanilla. I remember it because Blackrock had a bunch of power guilds come over towards the end.
I mean more in the way the patches were handled and the sharding oops i mean LAYERING because the classic community gets super upset when you mention classic had sharding.
Isn’t classic dead now anyway? Who’s even playing it? I don’t have a single person on my friends list even playing it anymore.
I thought they just sit around the classic forums and talking about how sucky retail is.
If they don’t even at least address the flow of the current systems in place then it’s just blizzards last F U to the player base.
There is no need for the systems to be so inconsistent with each other, while completely relying on one another.
But the essences are the only thing that are gonna keep you logging in with alts. Since play time has been the only metric they use, while accounting for this failure of a patch, within a catastrophe of an expansion. This would make sense considering how long we have to wait for shadowlands.
its getting there. slowly but surely
who really wants to stay subbed during this content drought. Why even come back from shadowlands when they goofed up this badly.
People wanted a time machine to go back to the era and experience WoW in the same way people experienced it back in the day, not classic.
So the “you think you do but you don’t” was actually spot on. Shame J Allen Brack is such a hack though.
To be fairly honest. Most people who want to play next expansion.
Because you want to have any character you have ready to be your main.
If you’ve already put the work to get them to max level then you might as well get them geared. Then, the next xpac will be substantially easier during the lvl grind.
Or the EP raid essence, no thanks to each tier jumping 30 iLVL there is no point going back.
Their populations are nothing like they were before and if one grows too much Blizz can easily shut them down without incurring the the doo doo storm they were getting prior to the release of classic.
Using their reversal on Classic as the impetus for a forum whining campaign seems pretty silly, either way. Its the exception, not the rule.
So you’re saying theres a chance? Great.
Everyone, KEEP ON POSTING.
Top two posts on r/wow today about account bound essences. If only WoW forums had a downvote.
Few months is about right, but by the time a few months is up you have already been left behind.
Have you never wanted to change your main or take another character into your guilds raid? Your raid leaders ask for R3 essences and the correct combination, that is 4 R3 essences that all sim high, not just the only 4 you have.
I also noticed all you do is LFR, so you should know, getting into EP LFR would take hours per queue for some players, there is no way they would even get up to R3 in that essence just by doing LFR before this expansion is over and people go into farm mode for old achievements and stuff.
They dont understand that the expansion is basically over, and that a month to get caught up is a very long time.
I’m actually not trolling. I hate leveling. I’d play more alts if I didn’t have to level them. You’d play alts if you didn’t have to grind essences. Some people would play alts if they didn’t have to gear them. That doesn’t mean they are trolling, everyone wants to play a different way.
But that is the point. A line is drawn between what should and should not be given to fresh characters.
If only most of the essences were unlocked through activities like raiding, dungeons, pvp and world events that also rewarded gear, ap, gold, prof items, war resources and completed quests like cta…
WTF do you mean brother?? you dont have to LEVEL your alts. Go buy a boost. You have the option, we dont.
3/12… says xpac is over… what?
That is the solution. Essences shouldn’t be account bound. Store bought R3, let’s make it happen.
I thought the obvious sarcasm was obvious there
Turns out it wasn’t
At least you see you have an option. We dont. Essences are also not permanent, toons are. Paying for them doesnt even make sense. My progression has nothing to do with the xpac being over or not. You say 3/12 but yet you avoid my M+ prog and hide your main behind some noob toon. Coward.
Essences are deterministic gear power progression that you can grind out without RNG. You know, that thing that people keep asking for.
You’re also missing the context in where i put that statement. Refer to what i replied to.
Levels aren’t permanent either. They are going to make me re-level for shadowlands. And we have the solution for essences. Make them cash shop.
The tier has been open for a month. Less than 100 guilds worldwide are close to completing this tier. The MDI hasn’t started. By that logic SL is pretty much over because we’ve seen the beta, they should just skip it and bring out the new xpac…
But that info is readily available thanks to the magic of the interweb. My progress is average. I still have several months of this tier left before I’ve “beaten” this xpac.
Time played.
Why give you the thing you already earned, when they can make you earn it again?
