They must have some analytics or data showing that people will play less if they make essences account wide. There can’t possibly be another reason for it. I remember a time when I could login and play my alts with no issue. Sure you had things like the legendary cloak quest or ring but those were way less time consuming than the garbage we have now.
All these complaints falling on deaf ears. You would think that at the end of the expansion they would open everything up and let the players have at it.
with all the data they have would you actually consider that as true? it’s doing the exact opposite feels like… who enjoys re grinding to revered on 11+ alts for 1 rank of essence?
there’s no logic if they think making acc wide essences would make people play less in fact one of the big reasons aside from the expansion just not being well received is essences grinding for example me as coming back after several months (from 8.1.5 re-subbed in 8.2.5 for the wow anniversary + finishing pathfinder) I had some of the essences already but grinded my way to get two zones as well and I thought (my alts have no essences I don’t want this)
As sad as it sounds, I would have preferred if they had just put random essences in the weekly chests and given the higher ranks for higher weekly chests. That would be a nightmare of RNG which is right up Blizzard’s current design philosophy.
They honestly just needed to make sure the 8.3 ones were on par or better than the 8.2 ones. Needing to do outdated zones/raids just feels bad. Having to redo islands/pvp/M+ is fine IMO.
Thanks for describing progression. What’s your point?
It’s an alt that got to max level 10 days ago; I’ve got time to “catch up”. BTW i do have those r3 essences, but you choose to ignore them.
That’s nowhere near the same thing or an appropriate analogy. Nobody would realistically make that argument. Let’s not resort to basic troll instincts. I only presume that to avoid the potential idea that you’re just ignorant.
