Once again. Why would you want to do all that work for an old system that is outscaled by the new system in such a way that getting 1 or 2 essences from the old system such an over bearing process.

I like how you just cherry picked that line considering he just said he played through Vanilla,TBC, and wrath.
Also, the rep grind essences take weeks no matter how much commitment you put to the alt. There are only so many dailies you can do. If you wanted to have a logical statement. Why not increase the daily cap in those zones so I don’t have to wait every day to do 3 dailies… See? just as much work, with less overall time invested.
Why throw 445 gear at me so easily but make an essence that’s, at best, 3-4% of my dmg a pain?
Because in those xpacs players asked for some protection against mechanics like the hwl grind. That promoted botting and account sharing. If there was no cap, or time-gate your alt would truly be months behind with no way to catchup.
Why do you pretend that all of the essences are locked behind dailies? When the only real lock is lucid dreams?
You can mail your alt BoA rep tokens which help too.
I just stopped playing anything but this character. Its just easier to manage. If Blizz looked at my account from over the years, Im sure they would notice thats not a good thing for time played metrics though.

They don’t have a plausible response to give. They want people to log in to continue an 8.2 grind because they want people to feel compelled to play more, which actually ends up doing the opposite because many have given up on alts. I play less when I don’t play alts. It’s really not rocket science, yet alts are still being punished. I don’t understand how they can continue to back this system. 8.2 is over.
You can mail your alt rep. You can now craft mats. Mat cost reduced.
You should be doing islands for gold, ap, and chalk. Two birds with one stone.
PvP is dailies now? What?
You can’t advance the pvp essences because they are tied to your weekly reset.
my neck is already 65 from one week of emissary quest and world quest. By next week, it would be useless to keep running them no other reason than the essence.
Why would I be working rep on my main to send to my alt. If my main is already exalted. Why continue to work on something that has no use to that character when I could just work on the character that needs it.

Calling out other peoples logs when you have none. 450 ilevel, no pvp achievments, your aotc’s were clearly bought based on your raid progression having 1 kill, no logs to talk about, no hard legacy achievments, you try to usurp someones opinion by talking about a 500 dps difference yet you can’t even grasp the subtle nuiance of any in game system because you’ve never interfaced with it. I’ma give you a 0/10 for trolling.
Farming old content for BiS nonsense is boring, annoying and pretty much a waste of everyone’s time.
But guess what? Blizz don’t care.
They ain’t gonna change the system at this point because BFA is done, the development cycle is done and no one of the devs care about this trainwreck of an expansion. They just want us to to forget about about everything and focus on their shiny new set of Activision fueled failures called “Shadowlands”.
People are going to scream at both sides, some claiming account-bound essences are necessary, other saying they are not for some deranged reason, but at the end of the day, no one of use matter.
The mech essence still needs the appropriate rep level to purchase even if you have the mats. So you still need to sit and do the dailies everyday. Assuming you play everyday. Which anyone with a job and a life doesn’t do.
Neck level 80 is useless. 3% stam? Yeah. That’s what I wanna wast my time on on a secondary character. 75 is easy enough and gets you what you need. Even blizzard said that.
You keep talking about how I should waste the time on my main to help my alt, when I could have my alt help itself. I didn’t push the rep/content on my main so I keep doing it. But then I can’t push it on my alt because hey. You get 3-4 quest for the appropriate faction per day.
