^ This guy has got it…
Lore nerds can argue how wrong it all is, how the demon types are all dead, or whatever, but I’m with this guy. Wings and tail, bonus points for prehensile, and I’d be all over it. Red would be nice but any colour will do really.
I’m not playing Sociology 101 when the two groups have been separated by 25,000 years and exposed to wildly different opposing primal magic forces. Some real life human ethnic groups aren’t even 25,000 years apart.
Give me one instance where the “Man’ari” ever actually call themselves that.
I have to keep sewing my tail back on. Death Knight problems…
No one cares what they call themselves. It does not change what they biologically are.
(There is a current events joke in there somewhere)
It absolutely does matter what they call themselves. If a race doesn’t set its own title and status then who does exactly? The Blood Elves decide what they call themselves. The Darkspear decide what they call themselves. The Mag’har decide what they call themselves. You’re not getting good traction for your argument here. Furthermore, the Fel changes what everything is biologically in case you haven’t noticed.
The blood elves called themselves Blood elves, did that fact change that they are still elves?
Dark spear Trolls call themselves Dark Spear. Does it change that they are still Trolls?
The Mahgar called themselves Mahgar. Did they suddenly stop being Orcs?
Facts are not an argument, Opinions are. Mine are facts, yours is an opinion.
Blood Elves are not High Elves. Neither Blood Elves nor High Elves are Night Elves. You want me to keep naming types of Elf that aren’t the same race? Fel Elves, San’layn, Suramar Elves, Felborne, Satyrs, I can keep going.
Darkspear trolls aren’t Zandalari trolls. In fact, the two are significantly different from a morphological perspective.
The Mag’har were never touched by Fel energy like the Old Horde Orcs. They don’t even share racial traits which are a factor of their biology and history. The differences between the two go much further than skin deep.
Your fallacies are not facts. Get over yourself.
Are Mahgar orcs not Orcs?
Are Dark Spears not Trolls?
Are Blood Elves not Elves?
No one said that those names you googled are not different.
It is like this… Are Rottweilers Canines? Are German Shepherds? are Labradors?
They are all Dogs. But a German Shepherd is not a Dalmatian.
An AU Mag’har orc is not an Outland Orc. But they are both Orcs.
A Draenei is not a Broken or a Man’hari, But they are all Eredar.
Dog is not a race. Dog is a species. Eredar and Draenei are not the same thing just like Wolves and Dogs are not the same thing. Mag’har are the wolves, Orcs are the dogs. Eredar are the wolves, Draenei are the dogs.
In fact, now that I’ve thought about it, you want to know what completely obliterates your argument? The fact that Dark Trolls became Night Elves. By your reasoning, that all descendants of the Eredar are Eredar, all Elves are Trolls.
All elves are trolls… That is an established lore fact since Wow 1.0.
Zandalari is the master race of that grouping. You can go read Chronicle and see for yourself.
Which effectively compromises the idea of races as biological in the first place and essentially makes it a definitive subsection of in-game culture. You’re conflating species with race and it’s 100% fully absurd. Congratulations.
Okay what ever floats your opinion boat.
Funny, a structurally valid refutation of your assertion is now an “opinion” apparently. You’re not worth my time.
Are the Sar’geri Mana’ri or something separate?
Just say Val’zuun had a few buddies he never told us about and that crack squad of Eredar are looking to join the Horde.
Well this didn’t age well…
That should have happened in TBC. Eredar to horde and Broken draenei, or whatever they are called, for alliance.
Cripes man, I had to scroll back to the post to realize I was being sarcastic about Zandalari already being playable. How/why the crap did you find this thing?
