Mankirk has some solid raiding guilds that do ALL the content weekly. The server pop might not always be poppin, but it doesn’t stop anyone from accomplishing anything.
Why would I watch a 12 minute video with 0 heads up from you on what I’m watching.
What does this video have to do with anything I said.
I’m simply ripping on dummy whose comparing it to 2005 like it’s the same thing
dude its to point out that server is active and u retail zugtards dont want to believe it for some strange reason idk why lmao
People can log in and just type /who and see how many people are currently online. Whitemane alliance is the only one with a playable population.
Yup we are retail zugtards.
That’s us man.
its like u guys dont listen or dont want to believe its insane lmfaoo I EVEN LINKED A VIDEO
there are guilds, raids, and groups u can join (even on horde) all u have to do is go on LFG or ask ur the guilds
(im done falling for this ragebait) go on whitemane urself and look thats all I have to say
Peak hours are ST 5PM - 9PM
It’s… It’s a game that… was from 2005. Vanilla WoW is what Era is supposed to be. Comparing it to what was during that time period is the most valid comparison you can make if the goal is a vanilla like experience.
Seriously dude your contrarian attitude is just making you look like a complete nitwit. Also nobody cares about the opinion of a known and unapologetic gold buyer.
I hopped on and searched. There was 1 raid being advertised in LFG on horde. I’m not saying there aren’t players but with anniversary being the exact same game version with more players objectively era is dead by comparison.
Okay, so perhaps the GAME hasnt changed much… but thats not the point. Everything AROUND the game has changed dramatically. Comparing 2025 Era to 2005 Vanilla is actually as far of a comparison as you can make. Lets see… what has changed…
This is all to say… Okay the game MIGHT be the same / similar… but how we play and CONSUME the game is light years different. How we interact with the world of Azeroth is shockingly different than how anyone played the game in 2005, and its not even remotely close.
To me, the fact you completely disregard that as mattering at all is shocking…
In 2005 you were lucky to be level 60, you probably didnt step into a raid, or if you did it was MC / Ony… you likely didnt have 300 professions, probably didnt have an epic mount, and werent more than rank 6 or 7. Compare the number of people you would need to accomplish what you did in 2005, to what kind of # of people you would need to accomplish todays goals in WoW… multiple level 60s, do all the raids every week, full profession alts, endless gold, full consumes and world buffs… etc etc
Nothing I said is “contrarian” it all facts and incredibly important. Comparing era 2025 to anything going on in 2005 is ridiculous.
You can resort to topic changing and name calling though since you have trouble comprehending anything I just said.
Sure. But I think that’s the whole point for a lot of people. We want the game to be the same so we can do the things we dreamed about in 2005 but never had the opportunity to for whatever reason. We want to be in the same environment but do things differently.
So if learning how to effectively farm black lotus was your goal in 2005 and you hop on anniversary imagine how disappointing that will be. The overpopulation is a huge issue. That’s my point.
I mean, i want to live in a world where I dont have to work anymore and get to play little league baseball every day.
Unfortunately societal changes don’t really care about your personal wants. It sucks, I get it… but like… just the way life goes.
Your dreams of doing XYZ from 2005 sometimes, arent even possible anymore in Era because of how the playerbase has changed.
“I want to play full 31 point prot warrior and tank a raid, I always wanted to do that in 2005”… Thats admirable… but its probably unlikely any raid is going to take a freshly geared warrior using a shield and sticking them to tanking Vael…
“I loved my Paladin in 2005, I want to gear out and play ret in Classic”… again… probably quite unlikely anyone will take you… Not impossible… but very much unlikely.
You know what I mean?
K we’re talking about a video game here. We should keep our perspective grounded.
Sure. It’s going to depend on what your goals are. I do see plenty of ret paladins running around on Era though. Seems like there’s always one to three of them in just about every WSG I’m in. Extremely common and they usually have Might of Menethil or Corrupted Ashbringer. So I guess that particular dream from 2005 actually worked out.
Playing a Ret Paladin in PvP is vastly different than playing them in a raid… come on now. You did not just make that comparison.
We all know ret is totally fine in PvP, actually pretty good at PvP.
They are dogwater in PvE… we all know this.
They likely got those weapons from GDKPs, probably while healing the raid… not playing as ret… and if someone from 2005 saw how much Mr Ret paid for said weapon… their jaw would drop.
I mean you literally just said playing ret in Classic. Nothing specific about raiding or PvP. From the perspective of a Horde player that’s most paladins as I don’t raid with them. I just see them in BGs and in the open world.
Craey raids as ret, and does well at it from all indications. There are also guilds that aren’t GDKP on era as well, i typically do SR raids.
It depends how people think what “dead” is.
For a dying patient like classic era, even if its players see someone who accidentally log in by mistake, they would believe they still have hope. For the rest of wow players, era is technically a ghost town.
As you see, if someone says “retail is dead” people either ignore or agree, because it’s an obvious joke. But if you sau “era is dead” era players will jump up and throw all possible verbal craps to you because reality is not what they want to hear. What they want is delusion and denial.
just watch the video i linked dawg omfg u people
This is absolutely correct. Era players are weird. They’re trying to convince people maybe even themselves that era isn’t dead.
bro org was so packed I couldnt even walk without bumping into someone this evening. ur so lazy u wont watch the video I linked or log into era.
